Can Thomas Hearns win a decision over Mayweather Jr. & Whitaker?

He was absolutely devastating. Devastating.

And very clearly and obviously not only in the power department, where both his right hand and jab are p4p two of the greatest single punches in history. Thomas is very well the greatest Jr Middleweight, but I have lots of trouble keeping him out of the top three or four at @ 147 when H2H is concerned. SRL obviously beat him in spectacular, riveting come-from-behind fashion and it's a big reason he's ranked among ATGs with some 150+ fewer bouts on his rap sheet. It was that good, and so was Hearns.

 

Not one mention of Tommy burning out, which is quite surprising. Im going to defend both Mayweather and Pea and say they both have a chance of winning. The 15 rounds would probably suit them both better than Tommy too. You don't get in with Hearns without a plan, but he is beatable at 147. This is not lambs to the slaughter in which this whole thing suggests.

 

Whitaker beats him. A prime Sweat Pea had problems with no one except for the aged, grizzled, depleted Chavez who forced him to a draw.

Hearns does not have the craftiness of JCC. I think Pea avoids the right hand bombs and gives a clinic, possibly even KD'ing Tommy.

 

Thomas Hearns stops PBF in 3 rds, yes 3 ! Bad stylistic matchup for PBF. Hearns comes out flying, and he migh catch and slip some of Hearns bombs. But, f just one of Hearns nuclear rights hands slip through, fight over. Mosely hurt and staggered PBF, shudder to think how that chin would like the TNT that Hearns would drop on it. I think Hearns would beat Whitaker much the way Trinidad did. 12 rd UD for Hearns. Why would Sweet Pea last when PBF doesn`t ? Sweet pea very slick defensively, and would be busy enough to keep hearns honest and not cower in a corner.I think PBF would be absolutlely frightened to be in a ring with Hearns... Fight would ne over at the refs instructions during the staredown...

Tommy has just too much going on for him to lose : inhuman reach, incredible punching power, lighting speed.... besides, Tommy was slick and skilled, and he knew well how to cut the floor and dance around a target.

Pea lasts longer, and he could even manage to lose by decision .... but PBF is as good as dead. Tommy is taking him to school.

 

Bizarre thread. He beats the brakes off of both of them. Maybe the only way he wins decisions is if he deliberately tries not to knock them out.

Yes. He almost out pointed Ray Leonard, he can decision these guys. I think he stops both though.

 

Can he? Easy win for Hearns over both. Probabily Floyd's nightmare match-up. Hearns would murder him. Not fair to even put him in a fantasy match-up with the Hitman.

 

Hearn's with his size, speed, jab and power would decision either man ... neither opponent had the nasty power to exploit the *****s in Hearn's armor ... however the 22 year old Hearn's that lost to Leonard was a bit inexperienced so who knows for sure ..

 

I would love to see Whitaker valiantly try and get inside and beat Hearns to the body.

Floyd would probably ***** out and lose in a Benitez-esque fashion with his 'dignity' in tact.
