Was Cotto going to stop Marg if the fight continued?

    Some people are deluded!

Cotto manhandled and knocked Tony's head back for the majority of round 9 and was controlling the fight and now he was on the verge of getting ko'ed by cheato? Gtfoh!

Cotto was hitting Margo the same way as in the first fight, and Margo with the bad eye, just kept coming. When your gameplan is to hurt someone's eye, and he just won't budge, This will break a fighter mentally. Cotto is afraid of Margarito. Bet that. I could tell by the look on Cotto's face after the fight, he knew he dodged a bullet. he wanted to ****ing kiss Steve Smoger and the Doctor. He got saved. Straight up and down. He was going to crack like an egg, there were 10 more minutes of fight left.

Cotto looked to be tiring around round 6 mentally but seemed to get his wind back. Round 9 was arguably Margo's best round, though. Could've have been easily over-analyzing because of the 1st fight, which after re-watching that seemed to change a little more drastically than initial thought. However, Cotto won virtually every round tonight.

hmmm, I think chances where higher of Cotto getting stopped rather than Marg, but I also think chances were slightly higher that Cotto would've won a decision instead of being stopped like in the first fight. Good fight, I just hope the ricans show respect and not sink down to the level of other "boxing fans" in trying to discredit the fighter opposite to who they were rooting for.

I don't think anyone here will dispute that cotto wins the scorecards... in both fights. However, in neither case, should the scorecards matter for ****, because cotto never lasts 12 against margarito w/o a get out of jail free card. Bet that.

If he ran for his life. Then yes, UD for cotto. If he could run forever.

Yeah, I think Margo had a better chance at a stoppage than Cotto. Cotto was going to win by decision, probably.

Does Margarito get to use his loaded handwraps in your hypothetical or not?

No wraps, good eyes, = no TKO for cotto. never in his wildest dreams would he get a TKO against Margo. Ever. He better start training for the tour de france and pray he doesn't get caught, and gets the UD

I dont think so. This was probably going end in a decision for Cotto. Margarito looked more hurt during the Pacquiao fight and he didnt went down.

Please. Cotto stuck beautifully to his gameplan and was beating the hell out of Margarito who evidently couldn't see the punches coming at the end.

It's very possible although Margacheato's Chin is as strong as ever and was holding up to some serious artillery. He was starting to appear more and more worn down and, as the TS said, the body and head combinations were having a visible effect. His glass eye was also completely ****ed and Cotto was raking it with left hooks with near impunity. I would have liked to see the fight go to a natural conclusion because, for starters, I would like to see if Cotto had enough firepower to crack what is clearly an Iron Chin but I would also have enjoyed seeing that bum's eye jellified and destroyed completely.
