Johnson could have done a lot more with his career. He simply pissed it away. He won't be in any ring anytime soon. Heard it all before, like Tua, Ill believe it when I see it.
whats that fat krispy cream piece of **** up to these days??? i heard he weights something like 420 pounds these days and has severely impaired speach cause he had like three strokes already. i heard he looks like a rhino with cellulitis on his ass. aint he in a wheelchair??? poor guy..........
:good He is about 250 and is in a situation where he can retire if he likes ! Or he can easily make another couple of million before he turns 40 ! Not to shabby if you ask me !:deal
Hmm, three fights in four years since the Vitali debacle. I'll believe when I see it, which probably won't be anytime soon.
I always thought he got along well with the Goossens, right Ralphie? They could use another heavyweight in their stable. Teke Oruh, Guinn, Mora, and now Chambers have all been disappointing. Time to give Kirk another chance.
atsch You dont know much about boxing do you ! If KIRK gets some focus back he can be a serious factor ! :deal
That "loss" has far more to do with Ruiz's overacting on borderline body shots than anything Johnson did, or didn't do. But on one level, I agree. A solid world-class fighter should blow out a glorified clubfighter like Ruiz just like Tua did. He should have been prepared for Ruiz's cheating - which was well know, he'd done in two fights (Thunder, Holyfield) before - and stayed away from body shots. He fell right into that cheater's trap. Ruiz's tendency to fake "low blows" was no secret by the time Johnson faced him.
I agree. Talented -- Yes. Never did look like he was in real shape. The dunken donuts comment is what I was thinking. If the guy doesnt want to train and look like a champ, then he should find a real job.
I got all excited for a second because I thought this was about Kevin Johnson, who is actually a relevant heavyweight who I enjoy watching (basically a less lazy and more showboaty version of Eddie Chambers).
I think whomever is handling his career now (his Dad?) should speak to the Goossens about fighting Teke Oruh at Pechanga in his comeback. That would be a good comeback fight for getting some rounds in, and it couldn't cost much to get those two guys in the ring at this point in their careers.
a serious factor??? doing what??? starting an awareness programm for kids on the dangers of "krispy cream doughnut" consuption:rofl
