Personally i think cotto was damn lucky the doctor stopped it. I had him winning big, something like 8-1 but you can see margo's pressure was really starting to catch up with him like in the first fight. i wouldnt say that margo is going to win but it would have definatly be interesting. i feel cotto was looking tired. hbo biased commenting in favor of cotto was terrible last night. you can tell they wanted cotto to win.

Cotto was dominating and would have continued to dominate.

Margarito would have eventually found him, pummeled Cotto until he folded like origami, and got a late TKO.

Come on mate,Tony wasn't hurting him.Cotto had no broken nose and didn't look any more tired than Tony.
I was big on Margarito for years but sometimes the truth is unavoidable.
I think Cotto would have coasted home.

I agree that Margarito was starting to speed up but i think even though he would've the last rounds or have cotto running he wouldve still lost

Margarito may have had a little more success, but I still think that pretty much what was happening through the rest of the fight would have continued to happen

Cotto would have won on points.

Margs eye was too ****ed (thanks to Pac) for him to do what he did in the first fight.

The eye was too much of a problem. Cotto kept circling to Margocheato's blind side and his attacks were too wide to do what he did in the first fight.

Margocheato put on the pressure around 4-6 but could see his attacking slowing down big time 'cos of the eye after round 6.

Cotto would of carried on in the same way and won. I didn't see Margarito stepping it up at all. Cotto had all the answers.
Cotto wouldn't have lost last night no matter what, he made sure it wasn't in his make up to lose to this man again.
    Well done Miguel.

  12. Your post is fiction. Watch the last round again. Cotto could have gone 13 rounds if need be and was starting to pour the ass whoopin on in round 9. Just... stop it. :nono

    I agree on all counts.

I saw Margarito breaking down Cotto similarly to the first fight.

HBO commentary is a ****ing joke. It's not even funny anymore how biased and one-sided it is. I don't know if it's the announcers, or if the orders to call the fight a certain way are being passed down from above them, but it's sickening either way.

He wasn't breaking down anything. He would have lost his eye. Cotto was catching him more and more on that eye. For goodness sake people, look what transpired with the Pac fight and his eye. If he would have continued getting hit on that eye for the next three rounds, he would have lost his eye. Wishful thinking if posters thought Marg would pour it on at the last three rounds.
