You are only pointing out mexicans getting shafted, and by the way.. how in the **** was Victor Ortiz kayo loss to Floyd a black eye to boxing?!

JMM vs. Manny was a travesty.

More of a travesty than ANYTHING ELSE the other night was Helenius bogus win against Chisora. But ofcourse, you won't point that out since you ONLY point out mexicano fighters demise.

    That stoppage was completely justified.
Had his eye been ok during the Pacquiao fight he would not have been stopped.
Cotto was pretty much dominating and was the clear winner.

I agree, same with Wolak. But my point would be if you oppose him fighting in your state and then you clear him to fight then you treat him as normal. If you stop the fight because of his eye then you really shouldn't have cleared him to fight in the first place.

    Just a thought.

why even clear the guy to fight, if you're gonna stop it cause of the eye anyways? homie i watched the fight with called it.....they were just looking for any opportunity to give Cotto the TKO and you could tell the second the doctor first came in the ring to look at the eye what was up....they handed him a TKO on a platter and it was in the cards the whole time if Margo's eye ****ed up....Cotto just had to run away all night for the W

I thought the fight should have carried on. Margo was picking things up, his eye was closed but there wasnt a massive cut ie Klitschko-Lewis or broken bone either so he should have been fine to fight on with 1 eye. Didnt Joe Frazier fight his career pretty much with 1 eye?

Gotta love Margarito though, pure warrior, the guy was just trolling Cotto in there.

Personally, I can't tell if Cotto was resting or Margarito was starting to come on, so I would have been inclined to let him come out for atleast one more round. If he started taking too much damage, it still could have been stopped mid-round. That being said, it was a valid stoppage, if just a bit conservative.

This year has been a bad year for Mexican fighters though.

    LOL,

    1) PBF V Ortiz: Ortiz got what he deserved, if it was against anyone but PBF it would have barely made a ripple. This was far from a black eye for the sport, it actually got people who never watched boxing to start talking about it again . . . this was a net gain for the sport

    2) JMM V Pac: I am a fan of Pacs but I thought JMM won it close. JMM did not win almost every round (like Pernell did against JCC) so it was not really a robbery. As a fan of the sport it is hard to see JMM who fought the pacman 3 times come out on the short end again . . . but thats life. it was not a black eye, because it was not a robbery, like countless others (ie williams/lara and pernell/JCC), a slight bruise but not black.

    3) Cotto V Margo: last nights fight only proved that Margo is nothing without his wraps and has lost almost every second of every round (except for that nobody Garcia) since he got caught with the illegal wraps? Margo only ever had stamina and a solid chin and was barely a step up from a barroom brawler! The dark side of me wanted the fight to continue so that Cotto could have made sure that he ended ******* margocheato career forever! This ending was a great, great thing for the sport. It hopefully ended the career of the cabdriver who was nothing more than a hype job, it corrected a wrong that done in the first fight and showed that Cotto is not damaged goods after that brutal beat down by the plaster master.

I could be content because the fighters I wanted to win won and you could be eating sour grapes because your fighters lost. Thats life deal with it . . . boxing is in a better state now than it was 6 months ago!

A glaringly obvious denominator, one he does not even TRY to hide.

Rewind a few years, he was on here defending Margarito.
