Bro.... I feel you Freddie but there have been "reasons" for these "contraversial" outcomes. Last night Marg wasn't the fighter he was before Pac almost permanently destroyed that right eye. The fact that Tony did go into that fight with a surgically repaired eye that required extra attention prior to the fight pushing through. Cotto exploited that fact and targeted Tony's eye enough to get the docs to stop the fight.

JMM vs Pac was contraversial based on the closeness of the fight. I thought JMM won but he did not dominate by any means... It was close and the judges favored quantity over quality as judges sometimes tend to do.

May got a KO based on Ortiz losing his cool and going for a billy goat type head butt which created the platform for Floyd to sucker punch Victor. Floyd shouldn't have taken advantage of that opportunity but its Floyd....are young really that surprised? I was more surprised to see Vic get ruthless than Floyd taking the cheap shot.

This has been a good year for boxing.... Just a bit unfulfilling. The contraversial outcomes actually helped a little in terms of the attention boxing has consistently received this year.... And next yr is around the corner with the Floyd vs Pac fight being closer than ever in becoming reality.

On a good note..... Rios won! But we are left a little unfulfilled based on losing his title on the scales.:deal

Margo was not getting his ass kicked, he wasn't even feeling those pitty pat shots thrown off balance on the run.

You have no logic .... Morales vs Maidana was a competitive fight, where Morales had Maidana hurt bad and could have easily taken that fight.

Margarito was getting destroyed... lost every round and was only get worse. If you actually believe Margarito could have stopped Cotto in those last rounds with 10oz gloves with no plaster, then you're nuts.

Are you serious? I don't know about you but I paid good fukin money for that PPV and Floyd stole it and everyone's else's by taking the cheap way out of a fight. No fight should end with a sucker punch. It's disgraceful and unfair to the fans that are supporting it.

 

To Waks credit Tony was beginning to gain momentum as the fight wore on. The fight was shifting and Cotto wasn't able to keep distance as he was earlier in the fight. The uppercuts were landing and Cotto was finding his back on the ropes more frequently.

The strategy to target Margs eye was a great game plan the team Cotto exploited. They knew his eye would be a concern for the commission and Miguel made sure he gave them that Mich more to be concerned about.

If that was a Tony who didn't have that surgically repaired orbital bone I think Tony would have gotten a late round TKO... But that's just my opinion..

You have to admit the fight looked a lot like the first one only Cotto took less damage and Marg took a bit more on the right side.

 

Cotto fought his normal fight in the first fight because he did not think Margo could hurt him with all his arm punches. But I guess a volume of plaster filled punches will rip almost anyone's ear off. Besides when you start to get battered like the first fight with weapons I guess you lose your senses and go mainly in survival mode!

I am just SOOOO HHHHHAAAAPPPPYYY that Margo got his ass handed to him 3x in a row! I wish all beat downs were even worse! That guy is the scum of the earth and did not deserve any of those paydays!

 

It wasn't a great stoppage especially if you take his eye out of the equation. i don't think the ts was sayin g Margo was going to win just that it was a bad stoppage.

i think Margarito is a cheating scumbag by the way and have little sympathy for him but two wrongs never make a right.

I haven't seen the fight yet. Interested to see if officials were really too eager to stop the fight or not. I bet they were right on the button seeing as how I never ****in' agree with Freddy of anything.
