:good and Margo's boxing skill has gotten better under Garcia, but he's shot (no plaster) and damaged goods

this is how Ortiz used to fight under Robert Garcia, now he's become a come forward brawler.

Also i dont think Garcia's style suits margo, Garcia teaches too much of the boxer puncher style, margo needs his crazy angles and whirlwind type style.

damn Ortiz was looking nice :smoke

but yeah, in this fight I could see how Margo has changed under Garcia. He was punching more correct and even trying to box a little at first. He wasn't throwing his wideass out of the world punches, but that was probably good since he had to protect his eye also

Cotto is not a slickest either and look how he did under his Cuban trainer, remind of Rigondeaux on a few occasions.

Yeah he taught Margo SOME defence but i think Margo is the type that needs to take some to give some, i didn't see those uppercuts from angles he used to throw or maybe cotto just didn't give him the chance to?

    Garcia is slightly overrated, imo.

I actually think he has improved Margo a bit - he had him jabbing and using his hook to set up his offence. Margo just couldn't deliver - he wanted to follow Cotto like in the first fight and couldn't adjust.

Sometimes being a warrior is stupid when you could make an attempt to outbox the other guy. See his fight with Corrales.

I don't know about brain damaged but he certainly can't continue taking that kind of punishment in every fight if he plans on boxing at the world class level past the age of 28.
