everybodys do, its the adrenaline. you feel awful and weak, but without it, you wont fight with any urgency or snap. it does get a little better the more fights you have, but even the pro boys will suffer it to a degree.

thanks I stretched a little and used a massager. That seemed to help out.

Yeah, every once in a while I'll get a rush of nerves and they'll get weak. Then I get all nervous that it's going to happen in the ring. But it's usually before the fight, I've never noticed it during.

Yep, for some reason the shitty feeling you have before fighting translates into a very alert, fast feeling once you get in there. That's when it feels great.

I get it all the time. You have any kind of remedies other than sucking it up?:smoke

This has to be impacting performance because it starts after my weigh in... I feel hot and my legs are weak. All the nerviousness/stress has to be draining energy.

Try spending some time throughout the day stretching and breathing. Take deep breaths from the diaphram and hold it for a second and then release. It's good to do that breathing between rounds as well.

Everybody get's it to some degree or other. Its just adrenaline kicking in. Try to manage it though because if you are hyped up for too long it can drain your energy.

If you are really hyped it can give you a brilliant 1st round but you will find that as soon as it runs out you are fu$ked. This is because it boosts your anabolic energy consumption but this results in fatigue shortly after (oxygen debt is the term).

If you are new to fighting try to manage the 1st round. Breathe, don't go for the knock out, don't go toe to toe, move, pick your punches and conserve your energy. Leave plenty in the bank for 2 and 3. Watch other novice fights, all out action in round 1, fading in round 2. Exploit this. The last round is the round to go nuts in. This is because the oxygen debt you run up will be paid when the fight is over. Think of a runner. They run at a steady pace and pick it up towards the end. Do the same.

Before the fight: Breathing excercises, massage, light exercise & warm up. Routines can be helpful.
