There is nothing in there to highlight his "above average" Muay Thai as such a thing doesn't exist. The fact that you think his Muay Thai is above average is a clear explanation as to why you believe Mir to be a stand-up god. atsch
additionally, he usually has great cardio but he was huffing at the end of the first. thought it woulda been a better fight.
Mayhems boxing is frighteningly bad and he gassed. It was a poor effort. Hopefully he was dead at the weight but I can't see him acheiving anything at 205 in the UFC.
I thought something looked totally wrong with him physically. He just seemed to be tired or injured or sick or something. Not that I thought he'd beat Bisping, but regardless of whether worthless **** heads like metalmandible want to make themselves sound like badass authorities at his expense, he's a much better fighter than that. I hope he had the flu or something because otherwise he got really old really fast.
The military teaches you about adrenaline dumps. I think he got so hyped up wanting to prove himself and got so excited that he let his nerves get to him and BOOM! He gassed just that quick... He had no problem grappling with Shields for 5 rounds.
Yeah I think so as well. He was WAY too hyped up during the ringwalk. Looked like a wide-eyed, excited, nervous kid. Bisping looked like a professional showing up to another day at work. :hat

Yeah, I've never seen Mayhem fight before that, so I was kinda disappointed. It's weird because I'm sure you're right and he does come out like that all the time. You'd figure that with him being such a high-energy type of guy, that he would be used to that. It had to be something because I can't believe that his cardio would seriously be that poor. Mayhem aint fought since Sept 2010, I think we can give him a pass for the **** poor showing guys. He's always in top shape, let's wait until his next fight, I doubt he'll be doing a Baroni then
