Haye didnt run the whole fight, he stood slap bang right infront of Wlad and made him miss, Wlad was simply to accomplished with his boxing and his clinching to give Haye any time or space to counter, that is why Haye didnt succeed on his promises.

In your post you seem to be asking why Haye did not bring the same gameplan as guys such as Peter, Brewster etc which i think you know the answer to that yourself. Haye neither has the durability nor the stupidity to try that, he is a former cruiserweight who is outweighd by about 30lbs. Guys like Brewster and Peter could absorb those punishing jabs and right hands long enough to try and get to Wladimir, Haye is too small at the weight to walk guys down like he did at cruiserweight. At heavyweight Haye fights off the back foot and looks to punish guys with quick snappy counter punches, he wont fight any other way and certainly not in a manner which would see him get KO'd trying to trade.

Haye gets slaughtered for not trying in his fight with Wladimir but he simply cannot fight on the front foot at heavyweight, he doesnt have the durabilty nor the ability, he tried and he failed.

Not counting prospects I agree the talent just insn't there is the heavyweight division. Other than an in shap Solis I dont' see anyone on the list giving Haye a problem.
