Margacheato's eye is done. Cotto will emply the same tactics and dance and hit with accuracy. There is no further need to continue this rivarly
Why not? Though Cotto was pitching a shut out there was a remote possibility Margaret would have hit it out of the park in his last at bat with both eyes swollen and closed!!!:rofl
I kind of sort of agree, Margarito's eye will never be healthy again Without any eye troubles, I feel Margarito beats Cotto 9 outta 10 times, Cotto's victory Saturday proved nothing to me, Margarito was still able to get to him, even though some will say Cotto boxed well, IMO he crossed that fine line between boxing and running against a fighter with one eye
What has Margarito done without his wraps to earn a big fight? If he insists on continuing to fight, he should have to build himself back up the hard way.
Since when has it been about who's earned their shot. It's always about MONEY! Margarito/Cotto 3 would still sell and that's the reason to do it. Replay shows that his eye was injuried by a grazing shot. As common as this is - it's usually unlikely to happen. One more fight between them - to settle the score. Margarito might not have earned the shot - but what has Cotto done since the Margarito first fight. Jennings - Clottey (whom he could have lost too) - Pac (whom he lost too)- Foreman - Mayorga The Triology doesn't have to happen right away - but if Margarito continues fighting - it should be made.
I highly doubt Margarito could get licensed anywhere outside of mexico after Saturday. I think this fight was conclusive enough that a 3rd fight isn't really needed.
Auracle21, you know you'd love to a 3rd matchup. It would lose a little luster because besides the handwraps issue, what else can they talk about? Look at who else is out there. Are there many other ticket sellers and ppv fighters out there? With Top Rank and GBP still not seeming to co-broke fights, who else can we see?
dont get me wrong....a third would be great but the mans eye sight is at stake here. id rather be able to see with both eyes than continue.
