Offensive boxing is only good when its effective, i e if a boxer is throwing 100 punches around but is getting his head boxed off then he is not a great offensive boxer. I clicked Manny Pac as his offense seems to make up for his lack of defense, and he is beating the best fighters out there on the way with simple offense... but a wins a win if a guy gets KO or not, or throws a 1000 punches or not, effective aggression is what matters, if PBF only throws 20 punches around but land 18 then he is a good offensive boxer imo and deserves to be on the list. Subjective.
Wladimir Kkitschko has been kayoing top ten competition and world class fighters for a decade. He has every punch in the book down. Although, he is a great puncher he doesnt overcommite to his punches and has great technique. He has one of the best jabs in the sport, the best right hand, good hand speed for someone his size. Has to be the best offensive fighter in the sport. He also has an 85% kayo ratio.
Pacman. - Holds one of the most dangerous & desired punches in the sport (straight left). Throw in a good right hook there now too. - Blazing speed and explosiveness. - 12 rounds full throttle stamina. - Relentless aggresion. - P4P power. - Good accuracy (his last few fights demonstrated that). What more can you ask from an offensive fighter? Cotto lacks the power & speed that Pac has. Wladimir lacks the ouput, stamina & aggresion. Pavlik lacks the speed. Calzaghe lacks the power. Floyd & JMM lacks the power & ouput. Rafa & Izzy are perhaps the closest, p4p their not quite as fast as Pac but they make up for it with their better accuracy. BTW some people are a bit confused with the whole best defense is best offence. No, a good defense will make you a better boxer, but they are still 2 separate things in this thread. Nobody argues Floyd is one of the best defense fighters but this is not about defense.
