He is always at range. His defense depends on it. He takes certain opponents punches away based on his understanding of distance. Certain punches can't hit him at because of where he positions his feet. Again, WATCH CLOSELY. Floyd depends on distance for offense also. Look at when he leads with the right or leaps with the left hook. Now ask yourself how many times have opponents countered those shots?

Why do you think he is that accurate? And why do his opponents find it hard to hit him?

And you fail to take into consideration that Floyd is not going to be moving all about the ring if his opponents aren't doing so. Why move if your opponent isnt?

Gander Tasco i debating something that "already is"..he doesn't put up much of any argument-he rather just blurts **** out and acts like he knows what he's talkin about-I dont think he's ever been to a boxing gym or anything like that.

And how much movement did Judah showed? Floyd isn't going to move if his opponents aren't constantly pivoting around to find angles to hit him, It's very basic common sense. There were multiple occasions during the Pacquiao vs Marquez III where they both stood stationary at long range because one of them stopped moving, so therefore the other guy waited a to analyzing and figure out what his opponent is up to. Floyd isn't going to square up and stand there flat footed and let Manny constantly throws straight left hand, and pivot to another direction without adjustment to his movement.

I'm not saying Floyd can't use distance, judge distance, use range, movement, or anything like that. I'm just talking about his defensive habits. He has a style where he plants his feet and goes behind a guard , that's all I'm saying. And no matter what type of fight he decides to fight, he's always going to have that style. He'll revert back to it. Half of his fights are spent inside the pocket. He had his back against the ropes half the time against De La Hoya. Ditto for Ricky Hatton, and many of his other fights. His defense is similiar to James Toney. He uses more footwork, but when gets in that 'defensive mode' he plants his feet. My point is it's not the best defensive style to use against Pacquiao, simply for the fact that it gives Pacquiao a better chance of getting his punches off.

Marquez on the other hand, never fights in the pocket with pacquiao, he constantly moves away/ shifts/ turn latterally, which keeps pacquiao off balance and unable to get his punches off as easy. He also counter punches AGGRESSIVELY... he punches WITH pacquiao. And he uses combinations which is another important thing. Because Pacquiao always punches in combos, by countering back with your own combos you negate the 2nd or 3rd punch from pacquiao, and it backs him up. Floyd very rarely throws combinations and he'll wait for you to finish with your offense and then come back with his shot. Remember Clottey popping Pacquiao with a flush right hand, and Pacquiao walking right thru it and coming back with 3-4 punch combinations? That's what happens when you rely on potshotting with Pac. If you throw combos, it'll actually back him up

As far as movement goes, Floyd also has a habit of walking back and forth in straight lines. De La Hoya was constantly backing him straight into the ropes just by popping the occasional jab. I don't know why this is all so hard for you to understand. I'm not even saying Pacquiao beats Floyd, I'm saying the reason marquez defensive style gives Pacquiao so much problems is mainly lateral movement and the way he moves/slips and counter punches, which is VERY different from the way Floyd Mayweather defends. ok im done /

Exactly. Which again I dont see how that's a better strategy against Pacquiao. These nuthuggers just cant help getting all defensive about it.

Like hes beat everyone else hes fought that way.

Ill be rooting my heart out for Pac but Mayweather picks him apart all night long and stops him late... with roach throwing in the towel.

Hope pac proves me wrong, but more then that I just hope the fight gets made while people still (barely) give a ****.

i think your focusing too much on what he does defensively....and basicly being baited in like his opponents.

Manny Stewart even says when Floyd goes defensive he still is very dangerous.

It's kinda like how you Pac fans didn't see a way for Pac to dominate De La Hoya. But sure enough Pac found a way, didn't he? I honestly don't know how Mayweather pulls it off. He seems so easy to hit even with him using his awkward style of defense. It seems like you could easily hit him with a body shot and he'd squirm and go down. But sure enough it's always the same reaction on his opponent's face each time you see them fight: confusion. Mosley appeared lost. Marquez looked like he was walking with a blindfold on. Ortiz tried to bail out with a headbutt.

If Mayweather convincingly beats Pac without controversy, will you make a thread admitting you were wrong? You don't have to hop on Floyd's nuts. Just tell us you at least give him credit for achieving something you think can't be accomplished which is to defeat Pac with the style Floyd possesses.

I'll do the same if Pac wins.

A more offensive Mayweather may be more vulnerable, but is also WAY more dangerous. No matter what your picking poison.

JMM isn't in the same league skill and talent wise as Floyd nor does JMM has the athleticism as Floyd. Nice try at cross references but FAIL.

    Marquez would've KO'd Judah within 7 rounds.
