This would be nothing less than a great fight, But I really fear that if Cotto doesn't get him out in the first half of the fight Kirkland might stop him later in the fight.

There's seems like a lot of fights around that weight class the could be made that would all have question marks around them. You've got Kirkland, Cotto, Chavez, Canelo, Angulo, Martinez - Mayweather can get in the mix if he wanted to (he won't). I see it the same way. I think Cotto has to start quick and fight similarly to the most recent Margarito fight - remain defensively aware, fire out that jab (it really is such a weapon), explode with counters and fast combinations and don't sit around admiring your work. Then it all comes down to if Kirkland can eat Cotto's shots and keep coming. I think Cotto could do a lot of damage fighting like this and force a stoppage - however, i'm not sure he could sustain this against a stronger and harder punching fighter for 12 rounds, and if he didn't manage to get Kirkland out of there he'd end up wilting under his pressure - because that guy won't stop coming

Doesn't look like many people give Kirkland any chance at all against Cotto.... i think it'll be a great fight though but it definitely isn't going the distance.
Cotto gets KTFO. Cotto has moderate power and will not be able to withstand Kirklands power. Cotto is a nice little fighter but let's be real. Kirkland isn't no one legged jew or Micheal Jennings.
