Do you think he can beat miguel because of it eventhough he is clearly the less talented boxer.
Cotto can outbox him and hit him at will but will the size of chavez turn the fight in his favour?
Remember the picture of Cotto and froch, thats about the height difference, add to that 180 pounds of chavez on fightnight and you have a smaller guy vs big guy than pac vs margarito on fight night.
Question: despite being a better boxer would chavez jr be too big for miguel cotto to beat?
I ask because over at the scene he says he likes the chavez jr fight at 160 and going to have to look at the offer.

Cotto would school Chavez Jr for 6 rounds and then Ko him in the 7th IMO

Personally, Even though Arum says he will like to match Cotto and Chavez, I doubt it happens. I cant see Arum taking such a big risk. I see Margarito fighting JCC Jr in Mexico before even considering Cotto. Having said that I give Cotto about a 75% chance of beating JCC Jr.

Chavez is just kinda lanky. I no he can bang but I do think the size would amont to much.

Chavez is a big boy no doubt but I think the skills gap is bigger.

Not so much the height, but the mass would be key. Chavez comes in at close to 180, he'd preassure Cotto by walking forward and throwing constant punches.
There's the Roach factor too, he's seen Cotto up close and knows his HABBITS (not mistakes, everyone makes those, but habbits.)

Chavez is a live underdog, and if Cotto does win he deserves credit.

size means a lot. Roach would tell Chavez to use his jab and keep it simple.

Plenty and the body attack especially the left hook would hurt Cotto bad who seemed really bothered by a body shot from Mayorga who isnt much of a body puncher

Cotto can be hurt to the body and I feel Chavez will do his damage there

I was under the impression Chavez was the same height as Margarito but around 10 pounds heavier.

Thinking about this fight more the size may very well be too much for Cotto to handle

If Cotto boxes and moves like he did against 'hands of stone' then the weight will make no difference

It doesn't matter what the opinions are because there is one major problem, Chavez is connect with ARUM! Fight will never happen.

I considered that, thing is Margo followed and didn't throw that many punches. Under Garcia he's no longer an offensive wirlwind, he considers what he does and to me that's not good for him. He's lacking in speed, he can't afford the time to process thoughts, he's not a Boxer, he's a fighter.

Chavez would throw alot more punches, downstairs especially.

Do you think Cotto could move that well for all 12 with JCC Jr?
