This is what Jacob Hall says http://www.braggingrightscorner.com/sarajhall1.html So who says it was Andro? Where are those writers getting there info from?
I can live with that but im not calling him a steroid cheat for his whole career just based on that ..The whole steroid arguement gets blown way out of proprotion especially when it concerns boxing ,which is more mental than physical imo ..
It's the risk you take when you use steroids. Your whole career starts to get questioned if you test postive.
Agreed ..The key is though is how good are you with out the edge..I beleive Jones answered those questions ..I mean look at the James Toney situation ,can you really call him a cheat ? Like I said before he was one of the worst setroids users in the history of steroid users .You ever see someone get fatter after taking something that should give you muscle ..
Jones Jr tested postiive but his case was covered up because he was a big name, it's simple. I don't know why fanboys can't accept that fact and move on.
Oh dear. Whats the matter *****? Did Headbanger break your heart by exposing you as a fanboy that is happy to support cheats?
******. where did i support Jones for taking Roids? ill wait. ****ing disgraceful Calzaghe ball lickers.
zod, i honestly can't tell you the source of where the andro claim came from. i know it was soon after the positive test came out and it was reported by a number of sites online. wada has always considered andro an anabolic steroid and it was sold over the counter up until 2004. here's a pic of what jones may have taken. This content is protected almost all fighters take some kind of supplements. jones should have known what was considered illegal by the ibf but the substance was legal to buy at the time. guys that don't like jones will always hold this against him because he was so great. if he had tested positive more than once, like toney, you can assume he's trying to get away with something but jones has taken many drug tests since this time (including the ruiz fight at heavy) and they've all come back clean.
:rofl:roflatschatsch There was no "Andro". It is the excuse/cover up they used. He was caught juicing and it took him and his people 4 weeks to come up with the "Andro" excuse. What is so hard about understanding this? Jones is a Glass Jawed drug cheat. He was caught.
Ephedra doesn't raise testosterone levels let alone raise them to a level where they get detected in a urinalysis.
The article doesnt say what steroid he tested postive for nor does it say what it was they were even measuring that he was "6x over the limit. We dont know the limit, if they just measured testosterone if they measured metabolites, if they even knew what drug it was or anything. There is no units or what they measured. That is like going to a judge as a probation officer telling them your guy was 6 times over the limit for drugs, we dont know what kind other than the illegal kind and we dont have any units of measurement or what it was we tested for, just that it was 6 times over. Whoop de ****ing do. Second andro was used over the counter to raise testosterone levels, so if they are only testing testosterone, that doesnt prove he used an illegal steroid and that doesnt disprove that his elevated levels could have been caused by andro. And if they did a simple screener test and it came back positive, surely they would retest the sample further in a more detailed way to make sure they got it right before they went public with it. So this case isnt as cut and dry as the cases of Vargas and Toney when they named the exact drug they tested positive for. I also consider this case a bit interesting because I have read (old) articles that had labs testing over the counter supplements after the 2004 andro ban and was it was showing up off label after the ban so its possible it could have been in products off label before the ban. There are some shady characters in some supplement companies, like this one: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/2626735...urts/t/diet-supplements-illegal-net-pharmacy/ arrest in 2008 and by 2009, putting prescription drugs off label in a supplement http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm167139.htm
