I thought Froch took the first 2 or 3 rounds and was looking like he had Kesslers number when he suddenly backed off for the rest of the fight.

A few times watching Froch and listening to the corner between rounds I feel that Froch tries to second guess the judges scores too much and overestimates the scoring based on how it feels to him, not how it looks to someone outside the ring. His corner comments in the Taylor fight showed the same thing ashe actually thought he was winning after round 11.

After the first few rounds with Kessler I think Froch dropped his output and used defensive movement because he was trying to show the judges how easily he could take it as Kessler was no threat. This of course backfired as it made him look gunshy instead. I believe he could have had Kessler out of there if he'd pressured more - and almost did on one occasion if I remember right.
For me, Kessler took the clear win because Froch handed it to him with poor tactics. I was almost screaming at the tv for Froch to throw more!

Kessler was the aggressor throughout. I had it something like 7-5 Kessler. Very close, very great fight. I could see 6-6 without shame to either fighter, but really thought Kessler was the better man that night.

    115-113 Kessler

Froch has added another dimension to his game since then, that loss has actually helped his evoloution as a fighter.

I'm a big Froch fan but I think I had Kessler by a point, Froch just didn't seem to pressure Kessler enough and let him control the pace through the middle rounds.

I put up a card a long time ago but i didnt like it, i had too many even rounds with i believe 3

    it was a judging nightmare

Kessler won cause Froch backed up a lot and let Kessler dictate the fight

the rounds where Froch came forward and pressed the action he landed and did damage and won those rounds

I felt Kessler deserved the decision, but think Froch could have won it if he had of followed up a bit more. In round 5, Froch hurt Kessler and Kessler looked in a fog, but Froch didnt follow up.
Kessler in a good fight, cant remember how I scored it

If Froch would have continued to box Kessler behind the jab he would have won comfortably. He got drawn into a slapping contest which made the fight closer. I still had Froch winning.
