A small hairline fracture can turn you into a foot player with a broken leg? woah!

That's exactly what happened to IBO World champion Wayne Rooney.

Btw to gather any sense of the article we need it translated properly so before we go citing from it can we please do that, because, to say the least it is unreliable.

Im still not sold that he even has a small fracture. Which bone in the hand has a hairline fracture?

And when you say broken hand people immediately thing of snapped bones, 'small Hairline fracture' does not fit with 99% of peoples perception of the phrase 'broken hand.'

Hairline fracture could mean the tiniest of fracture a couple of mm long that heals in less than 2 weeks, or as you rightly point out can mean a debilitating injury that can take months to recover from. Before we draw any conclusions we need to see the Xrays and docs report. Otherwise we can only assume that this is merely an excuse for failure.

    Thanks for that.

He mentions the security guards prevented him from going to the presser near the end. Nothing on breaking furniture.
Can't understand all of it, as I am a "yank."

But Kalle did basically admit that Chisora won!
THough he seemed to be afraid to concede to a UK venue for the rematch if it happens.

Personally I've had a hairline fracture on my metatarsal on my foot. It was actually very hard to see on the X-ray. That had me on crutches for a few months, yet never completely healed. That happened about 6 years ago, I'd say now it is only about 97% of what it was before.

Should be easier to heal in the hand though due to not putting any pressure on it like you would your foot when walking.

    From wikipedia:

    Treatment
If a stress fracture occurs in a weight-bearing bone, healing will be delayed or prevented by continuing to put weight on that limb.
Rest is the only option for complete healing of a stress fracture. The amount of recovery time varies greatly depending upon the location, severity, the strength of the body's healing response and an individual's nutritional intake. Complete rest and a cast or walking boot are usually used for a period of four to eight weeks, although periods of rest of twelve to sixteen weeks is not uncommon for more severe stress fractures. After this period activities may be gradually resumed, as long as the activities do not cause pain. While the bone may feel healed and not hurt during daily activity, the process of bone remodeling may take place for many months after the injury feels healed, and incidences of re-fracturing the bone is still at significant risk. Activities such as running or sports that place additional stress on the bone should only gradually be resumed. One general rule is to not increase the volume of training by more than 10 percent from one week to the next.

[/ame] usually includes muscle strength training to help dissipate the forces transmitted to the bones.
Bracing or casting the limb with a hard plastic boot or air [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthopedic_cast"]

[/ame] may also prove beneficial by taking some stress off the stress fracture. An air cast has pre-inflated cells that put light pressure on the bone, which promotes healing by increasing blood flow to the area. This also reduces pain because of the pressure applied to the bone. If the stress fracture of the leg or foot is severe enough, crutches can help by removing stress from the bone.

So yea a small hairline fracture in the hand with complete rest could heal in a matter of a few weeks just like I said.

There is only one way for Helenius to get his credibility back:
Rematch Chisora and KO him brutaly.

If helenius tries that he'll just 'break' his hand again. Chisora's chin is granite.

He claimed he was injured during the build up and couldn't train properly. Not sure if that's true but he was 2 stone heavier in that fight than last week which was a disgrace.
