"Now Julio Cesar Chavez Jr beat Manfredo Jr recently, a fight you were at ringside. You’ve stated time and time again you want to fight Julio. Again, if not Floyd, is this a fight you will have your team pursue?
    "
“Me and my team have said a hundred times that we want that fight, I would prefer to again win the belt in the ring.

Why would he want to fight Pirog when he can get more money by fighting Chavez Jr and its a winnable fight too?

Sergio Martinez is the biggest cherrypicker in boxing history. He continues to ignore the most talented middleweights (Pirog, Golovkin) and goes after bums like Chavez.

Martinez has beaten only two good fighters. Then, only bums.

I think Sergio just wants his old belt back, the one the wbc wrongfully took from him. Pirog doesnt deserve it but I do agree he should fight Golovkin. Sergio should focus more on unifying 160 or 154 that way there is no excuse for Manny or Floyd not fighting him. Hed have more leverage and a reason for them to fight him. Im interested as to what GGGs or Sturms opinions are about fighting Sergio. I havent read anything about them calling him out either.

    2 things...

    1. sergio wants his belt back

    2. he wants big payday/high profile fights for money and to build his name

fighting pirog would give him neither of these things, not really hard to understand. i hate when people call him a cherry picker as if he is scarred to fight pirog. he is simply getting old and wants to max out the rest of his career, can you blame him? bottom line is sergio is one of the few exciting fighters left out there and he needs to be on a big stage against a big name

Isn't Sergio a little old to be waiting around for a big fight? If they won't give him one, then he should become more active, beat anyone the big names would want to fight, and leave them no choice but to fight him?

He isn't a big enough of a draw to call people out who will make plenty of $$$ not fighting him. He needs to stop yelling and make himself the $$$ guy.
