    Arguello-Pryor 1 was a great fight, but I have a tough enough time picking a winner for the best fight of late 1982. You also had Gomez-Pintor and Chacon-Limon 4. And I don't know if Chacon-Limon 4 is better than Chacon-Edwards 2, which was just a year later. Saad-Lopez 2 was in 1980. Hagler-Hearns was a megabout and a terrific short fight. I can't really pick a winner for the 80s. I may need to watch them again.

    The 1970s, I go with Ali-Frazier 3, with their first bout and Saad-Johnson 1 behind it.

    1990s: Carbajal-Gonzalez 1? Chavez-Taylor 1? Robinson-Gatti 1? I don't know.

    2000s I'd go with Corrales-Castillo 1 followed by Barrera-Morales 1.

    That is the fight that got me into boxing. I used to watch USA tuesday night fights, but I was like most PAC fan. I didn't know what the hell I was looking at until this fight hooked me and then I learned.

    A back and forth war fight would certainly gain some fans. A boring running fight would turn off some.

    Well folks: I think my list is better.

    If nothing else it includes the fight that the experts said was the best ever, in terms of sheer action of the highest level.

    In the 80's I think, NBC Tv had Marv Albert and guests Dundee, Futch, Benton and others on.

    Unanimously IIRC they voted Hagler-Hearns the greatest fight ever.
