its hard to say how long Wladimir will rule the Heavyweight division. He has all the tools to rule for a long time and a chin thats better than most give him credit for. I say there are mainly 2-3 factors that will prevent a long reign. First factor is how will he age? he's 31 now and at the top of his game but he always hit me as someone who would retire when he felt that he wasnt at his best anymore. Secondly, he has a bright future outside of the ring. In business or perhaps politics or any number of fields he has the ability and the know how to succeed in the professional world. Third, he is a heavyweight and one punch can really knock any fighter out. Men with even the best chns get Ko'd at hevayweight, it comes with the territory. I say 3-5 years is fair for Wlad, anything beyond that may be a little unrealilistic.

 

I think he'll rule for another 2 or 3 years.

 

Solid post. That's pretty much my stance on it. In another 3-5 years, he'll likely have between 60-65 career fights...even if he's still good, you'd have to wonder how hungry he'd be at that stage. Unless he loses again and wants revenge, I don't know what else he'd have to prove at that point.

I think hill fight 4 more times in a span of two years. One of those will be a unification fight.

 

I don't see Wlad fighting past 34 or so. He enjoys his life too much, and is involved in too many things. Also, he is too smart to overplay his hand.

 

Vlad is head and shoulders above the rest when he fights his fight, but there are some young ones who can improve< povetiken is good but needs a lot more work before he can challenge Vlad, Solis may turn out to be real good,and the other title holders but Vlad fighting humble right now is the man
