    Roach is the most knowledgeable person about boxing over in their team. After recently losing to Marquez it's not encouraging to manny and arum to hear about how Mayweather beats them and is a hard fight.

    Roach is making it even harder and more unlikely for manny and arum to make the fight by telling the truth.

    He is just realistic about it, I think its better than discrediting an opponentbefore the fight starts so people bring it up afterwards.

    You got a source for that, mate? I remember Roach saying that if Manny turned in the same level of performance against Floyd that he did against Marquez then he would lose. That's not the same as saying they would lose regardless?

    The bottom line is Floyd will win the fight handily.

    The bottom line is Floyd won't take the fight. End.

    By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing - These days it seems the easiest way to get a fight with a Top Rank fighter is to be a Top Rank Fighter. It's no secret that Bob Arum (Top Rank Boss) prefers to keep it all in the family, by putting on cards that feature both his fighters against one another. Let's face it, if Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. (Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions) was still aligned with Top Rank... does anyone think that a fight with Manny Pacquiao (A Top Rank Fighter) wouldn't have been made and done years ago? Instead here we are waiting.

    Recently in an interview with Boricua Boxing (video is posted on this page), Oscar De La Hoya spoke out on his frustrations of Top Rank not willing to let their fighters face off against fighters from other promotional outfits.

    In the video, while discussing fighters such as Miguel Cotto, De La Hoya was asked if his side was willing to work with Top Rank to put on fights with any of his fighters.

    De La Hoya answers the question by starting off with his own question: "The question is always ‘Will Top Rank work with any promoter?’” stated De La Hoya, adding: "That’s the question. That’s all I have to say. We’re willing to work with anybody to make the best fights happen for the people. Top Rank is not."

    "I did not have sexual relations with that woman. The *****-ho in drag was not me. It was a poor Photoshop job."

    "Nevermind, I did smash that ho and yes, that was me in a bikini."

    It's alot better to hear than the usual trainer 'We are going to knock his ass out', and point out his shortcomings... to hype the fight and his own fighter.

    It could be the truth, but it might just be a psychologic ploy for Mayweather to want the fight even more; have him by the balls so to speak. But who knows: may be Freddie does know things more than we do.

    Roach, is a very smart fella. IF this fight is made and he talks down manny's expectations it does two things;

    1) IF he loses he seems like the underdog who is not expected to him and it minimizes the impact on his marketability and legacy

    2) IF he wins, it seems like a even greater accomplishment
