    Those chances he took would be suicide for any other fighter that is similar in size with Pac. The smaller man didn't just outbox and outwork the bigger guy like how Hank Armstrong did moving up. Pac bloodied and stopped most of his bigger opponents.

    Overall I think Pac is rated accurately by neutral fans (non-******* and non-Pachater fans). Some of his fans rate him too high, his haters rate him too low.

    Can't believe you said that! Props....I would also add that a certain portion of the haters(like yours truly)that dislike Pac do so as an extension of Roach. If Pac was with Steward, Garcia, ect. Some of us loathe Roach and his catchweights have not increased his popularity.

    He was a 4-1 betting favorite against Cotto. Much higher against Mosley, Clottey and Margarita.

    Cotto = Catchweight fight + Got destroyed by Margarito with plasters

    Margarito = Catchweight fight + Was banned from boxing

    Hatton = Lost his 0 against Mayweather

    Clottey = A bum

    Mosley = 39 years old + Lost his belt against Mayweather

    De La Hoya = Was weight drained + Lost his belt against Mayweather

    Nobody can deny that his hype is the product of brilliant matchmaking, as with most fighters. He's been carefull handled, which has helped his talent show through.

    The only person that counts who overrates him is floyd. If he underated he who have fought him 3 years ago. He over rates him by not having the urge for 3 years. Claims no one from feather weight should be koing welter weights even though he hasn't. Making a myth called a side meth. He must be on peds. Floyd is a big in the closet ******* creating a the myth called pacquiao bigger then he really is. The more floyd talks abt pac the more of a myth he's creating for pac as well as his fear of him. Floyd wins in every catagory on paper yet it took jmm for him to finally want to fight him. If its anyone that's overrating pac its floyd

    Watching Pac fight these days is like driving behind a car being driven by a woman. Boring and can't wait to get it over with.

    If they got Pacquiao at #1 he's overrated. #2 or 3 is about right.

    Brilliant matchmaking my ass. Tell me all the guys he ducked or should have fought instead? I mean the only guy who's really given him consistent trouble is Marquez. So if he's been matched carefully then who has he really ducked since he fought Marquez 3 times.

    Pacquiao wasn't brilliantly matched against anyone. He fought all the best guys available for the most part. Cotto was the best guy, he fought him. HAtton was the best guy at 140, he fought him. De La Hoya and Mosley were money fights. Clottey was a top 5 welter avoided by everybody, and Marg was a very tough fighter and you couldnt name really name anyone better or tougher then them at 147 at the time aside from Floyd.

    Its easy to say in hindsight that he was matched up perfectly, but these were no easy fights at the time they were announced.

    Not gonna watch but the only guy you have a legitament argument that he ducked is Mosley ,when Pac basically first stepped into WW. But I think he deserves a pass considering he fought Cotto who beat Mosley anyway, and he had only just moved up a couple weight divisions and was testing the waters.

    In contrast, Floyd was at welter for over 5 years and hadn't fought any of the best welters, and only got around to fighting Mosley when he was way past it. Pacquiao upon moving into WW beat Hatton Hoya Cotto (and maybe clottey) within a span of like 2 years.

    As I said before, it's easy to use revisionist history and pick apart a fighters resume , but the fact is every single person who says he was carefully matched cant name any fighters that he ducked or should have fought instead. Pacquiao fought all the best guys out there, whether they had recently suffered a loss or not, that's not his fault.
