A couple of confidence builders, then a title tilt in the second half of the year for a major belt for mine. You're a long time retired and he still has something left. Needs to realise that he can't beat a big fish coming off two stoppage losses though. In fact, it was foolish thinking he could beat one coming off one stoppage loss.
Yes but hes 38 and when he retired before he cited his future as a husband and father was the reason for him retiring and he hadn't been bashed senseless then like he has his last 2 fights. I think he will finish with a win then call it a day.
Agree he should finish up soon. I don't see any point in him continuing to fight though unless the goal is to win a major belt at cruiserweight. If that's not the goal, hang 'em up now.
It's purely guesswork on my part that he will have a farewell fight. He may indeed announce his retirement when he comes back from his holiday, chilling out break. I just think he will want to end his career with a W. Were all just guessing at this point in time. Just think with 2 bad stoppage losses in his last 2 fights and being financially set for life he won't be chasing another major belt risking another bad beating but hey who knows.
If he is gonna go on he needs to go 175 where he can be himself and go on the seek and destroy cause he can use his power, the proper cruisers make him tentative and he can not take their shots.
IMHO Danny is too small for cruiserweight, as much as i would love to see Danny finish on a win the two guys being put out there as potential opponents for a final fight are pitt and Cameron who IMHO have started to look really good @ 200lb. They both have the ability to finish Danny embarrassingly. Not what anybody want's to see. Sometimes enough is enough, youl always be one of my hero's, Much respect brotha
Green would easily outbox Cameron @ cruiserweight but is it worth the risk, Cameron has the power to finish Danny as does Pitt. AVOID these to, take an easy win and enjoy retirement without losing any health. Future and family first and foremost period.
Definately agree, Shane's last opponent was Monte Betham with only 5 pro fights but IMHO Shane has really come into his own @200lb. Anyone who fights Shane is risking alot IMHO.He's a high risk = little reward fight. I Love Shane without a doubt as a Kiwi he has my 1oo% support. BUT as the thread is about Danny it's about finishing on a high. Please stay away from Cameron and Pitt for the sake of your fans and tour health. Cheers brotha
Is there room for someone else in this discussion or are you happy enough to talk to yourself? At least you are agreeing with yourself anyway
