Pretty sure there'll have been a clause put in the contract for a rematch. In fact, I'd be amazed if GBP were stupid enough not to.
I agree with most on here that they made the mistake of looking beyond Lamont Peterson...:yep Well done to all in the Peterson Camp. It's time for Amir Khan to make some re-adjustments and come again...:good
I know Sky said a few times that it was a voluntry,i`m pretty sure he was a mandatory for one of the belts.
Wonder how sky feel about signing Khan back up now!!! That Floyd fight is just "dust in the wind dude".
He does deserve the rematch. The Maidana and Prescott fights have nothing to do with it IMO. Prescott, after winning, was shut out by Mitchell, and lost a few other fights as well. Maidana was clearly beaten and hasnt done anything to ******t a rematch, unless narrowling beating Morales does it for you. Khan, on the other hand, lost a razor thin decision many thought he won, and was deducted two points in 'controversial' circumstances (although i felt they were just). It's completely different
It happens nearly every fight for me. Just as he wins me over with his boxing he has to open his ****ing gob and ruin it.
I hope he doesn't get a rematch. He wouldn't give Lamont one if it had gone the other way so Lamont should say no and demand there own fights with bradley and mayweather
Khan doesn't need a rematch, he can still get big fights without facing Peterson again. I think a lot of you would also be sour in the heat of the moment if you were the champion and got deducted two points for some mild pushing.
Of course he'll give him a rematch. Good money to fight a guy he's already beaten once? Its not like Peterson is rucked up with better options.
Boom. Too many cheer leaders in this sport. Khan is a name stateside as well as in the UK. He'll always make money and get fights. My hats off to him. Kid has balls of iron. Great fight. Khan wins the rematch if it does happen though.
The **** do you mean he shouldn't get a rematch? Khan was the World Champion coming into this, and the point deductions were disputable, which ultimately made the difference in who won and Khan was in DC, Lamont's hometown, which could have made the difference. It all comes with the territory, but why would you not want a rematch? For your own selfish agenda against Khan, it seems. I find it funny how many Amir 'haters' are coming out.
