Ortiz fought Mayweather 9 months after draw with Peterson

    People here have a short memory, saying Khan exposed should not be mentioning a potential mayweather fight etc. But are they forgetting that Ortiz fought Mayweather 9 months after a draw with Lamont, not to mention that Ortiz quit against Maidana 2 years before.

    Despite the controversy surrounding yesterdays fight, if the pacquiao vs mayweather fight does not come off, i still think that Khan should be next in line, unless Mayweather steps up in weight to fight Martinez. Can you name someone else more deserving?

    After all Ortiz after the Peterson draw went on to beat who i believe is a real hype job in Berto and got a crack at mayweather.

    So by that logic Khan is still one fight away from Mayweather which is what he was before the Lamont fight anyway since he would have had to take 1 fight at the weight before attempting to fight Mayweather

    Ortiz fought Mayweather after beating Berto kid. :rofl:rofl:patsch:lol: and everyone thought that win was the best thing in the world for Ortiz. Khan needs to win his belt back and move up and beat Bradley and then they can talk about Floyd again.

    If khan fights Bradley and beats him convincingly then sure he can fight Floyd.

    I start a post about Khan being still in with a chance of a mayweather fight based on the quality of his last opponent and this like most threads turns into a Pac vs Mayweather argument.

    You talk as if Ortiz dominated the hype job Berto. Only *****s think that was the best thing in the world for Ortiz.

    He had to pick pieces of his teeth on the floor 2 times.

    Ortiz calls Maidana "Daddy" and I suppose he can call Gayweather "Mommy".

    No. They have Mayweather as P4P #1 because Pacquiao got outboxed by Marquez. The debate over P4P #1 is between Mayweather and Pacuiao. Mayweather didn't move UP some P4P lists after he beat Ortiz, Paquiao moved DOWN some P4P lists after performing poorly against Marquez. No one considers the Mayweather-Ortiz fight more than a solid tune-up against a solid southpaw welterweight contender.

    Pacquiao is doubtful, Martinez is doubtful.
    Not much available, Khan's still a decent opponent but he needs an impressive win or 2.

    Cheapshotted!!!! Ortiz was nowhere being spanked in that fight, more like outpointed. Spanking was done by Maidana. Tickling was done by Gayweather.
