Jon Jones vs Machida gets FOTN. Frank Mir gets what Dana White calls "Submission of the century" Jung takes home the KO of the Night. :good
Said before and I'll say it again. If Frank locks on a submission my body goes cold because I know what is happening next. I immediately began to watch through my fingers. Frank is the main fighter who makes me shudder and scared for his opponents. I thought Kongos next was going to snap. Probably the strongest sub lock in history.
I really don't think Frank would care if he killed one of his opponents. That being said, you would think that they would tap quicker instead of playing that macho macho **** with Mir. Frank Mir is a cold cold man.
100%. I'm a Frank fan. He is articulate and technical so I like him. However, you are spot on. He has now broken 2 arms and been COMPLETELY unfazed by it.
Oh I am a HUGE Mir fan. All in all, he's probley my favorite fighter. You can just look at him and see his stone cold emotionless face when talking about injuring opponents, about how he trains for that. Mir, Babalou Sobral, and Palhares are nasty grapplers. Babalou wants to choke you out, Palhares wants to rip your knee off, and Mir wants to maime you any way possible.
Palhares is another scary one. I think it was Fedor was well who used to make me immediately think TAP TAP TAP TAP just ****ing TAP, he is going to damage you! I wonder what it is. With Mir, its a mental AND physical thing. When he tenses up, I'm sur he has full confidence that there is no escape. Jones looked similarly cold against Machida. He looked at him and just seemed so sure Lyoto was done. No fear of his arms gassing on the sub or worried about him escaping etc
