No matter who you were rooting for last night, you had to respect Barry Hunter's pep talks inbetween rounds.
Emotional corners like that seem rarer nowadays and they've always been something I enjoy.
I know it's hardly original but my favourite was always "You're blowin it son" in Leonard-Hearns 1.
Any thoughts or suggestions of other similar moments in big fights?

You could tell Hunter knew his fighter and what to say to him. At one point he shoved his head up and said "put your damn head up". I dont love it when trainers get physical with there fighters between rounds, but in this case I think he got his point across. Lamont is a nuce guy, but hes not soft at all.

That is a real trainer to get his fighter to dig deep!!! Roach is a good offense of coach I just don't think he could get that out of Pac or Khan if it was needed........

From what I could hear Hunter was giving Peterson some great motivation, even when coming from a dominating round he would get in Lamonts ass

Dude did a great job and he was in Peterson's ass the entire fight pushing him on. When he was telling him "we've seen this script, we've been here before, go finish this...", cool ****. Good for their team.

I must agree he did a good job keeping his fighter motivated.

strange advice with all that duble and triple the jab nonsense. In the middle part of the fight i thought Peterson was blowing it listening to his coach. Trying to jab and get off first against the quicker fighter.

i would have told him to keep the pressure up and get inside, this is where he won the fight

    They were great;)

I enjoyed the part that went something like: "There's gonna be no party to night" xD
