After last night, should Khan stay at 140?

Khan is fast and quite powerful, but I get the impression that his strength seems to be mediocre. Peterson was walking him down and there wasn't all that much he could do about it (I did have Khan edging a close one, btw).

The light welter division does have fights left for him. Besides the obvious Peterson rematch, it's possible that Bradley grows some balls (after seeing last night), then there's Alexander, Alvarado, Maidana rematch, and even Garcia or Soto. It's also not inconceivable that a guy like Rios or Guerrero moves to 140 in a few years. Then there's the possibility of a JMM fight.

I always thought a move up was necessary, but I'm now wondering how much power he'll carry although I think he'll go as far as LM if not 160 eventually.
We shouldn't judge TOO quickly after last night. He has one life left in my book, but only one then it's game over as far as P4P lists go.
Bradley might try to force a fight now but he's hardly covered himself in glory on this subject has he?
He'd show himself up if he starts screaming "I want Khan" now

Turf war at 140. Khan does not even have 30 pro fights yet. It will only make him better.

He SHOULD stay at 140 due to how lacking he is in punching power and chin, BUT he won't. Khan is 25 and will get heavier. I heard this kid loves food too and can't stop eating.

I think he should stay at 140. Worryingly for Khan, his punches couldn't push Peterson backwards or even halt him coming forward and putting pressure on him and getting inside. He was landing some good combos but they didn't seem to worry Peterson much or make him backtrack at all.

Khan's speed is what gives him all these early knockdowns. Figthers are stunned by the quickness of his punches early, but you'll notice they're generally not heavy KDs and there's not much long lasting effect from them. As his fights go on, his opponents generally get used to the speed of his punches and take them well. I think last night's scenario would play out several times up at Welterweight, fighters just walking through his punches and putting pressure on him. He doesn't seem to be that physically strong. I think at the heavier weight he'd be even more vulnerable on the inside.

Either needs to stay at 140 or do a lot of work on those tactics.

Stay at 140. Think he could be brutalised by a bigger guy

He doesn't have the stuff to hang with Mayweather at 147. Would still like to see him vs. Berto, Ortiz, Brook and Jones though.

I think he should only stay at 140 for Bradley and Peterson then move along to 147 to humiliate Kell Brook and Matty Hatton, and get the megafight with Pac or Phony........although I doubt Phony, after watching Khan take wicked abuse and take it well, will likely duck Khan for eternity.:deal

Rematch Peterson anywhere except Washington DC. Beat him. Move up to 147.
