Punch resistance is centrally important in boxing. A Chin is the singlemost important attribute a fighter can have so yes, discussing Chins is intelligent boxing conversation. Only fanboys, nuthuggers, and those with Glass Jaws themselves have any reason to object to a rationale critique on Mandibular Fortitude. Glass Jaws Exist in Boxing. We will continue to discuss them whether you like it or not.

Ricky didn't "run" much...he tried to "box" with a very rough style-like a "swarmer"

Obviously it is, the point is you don't discuss punch resistance you just go around calling people "glass jawed jokes".
In what way is that intelligent boxing conversation?

    Also who is we?
You mean your little club of fully grown men who spend all their time discussing chins :rofl

The question, "Why do British fighters run instead of box" was asked and I gave an honest answer. It is because the majority are Glass Jawed Jokes who would be KOed if they didn't put on their track shoes. This is not debatable as there is a fine movie called "Glass Jaws: The Brits" which illustrates this point quite well.

When I call a fighter out on having a Glass Jaw it is discussing punch resistance. Some fighters have it, Carl Froch for instance, and others, like Roid Jones or Amir Khan, do not. Those that don't are Glass Jawed Jokes. End of discussion.

Khan and Haye cant win to the haters.

If Khan or Haye stands and fight they could get Knocked out and called glass chin disgraces. If they run and box like the smart thing to do they are cowards.

Name five British boxers who are runners

    Lets take a look
    Hatton
    Calzaghe
    Cleverley
    Froch
    Burns
    Kell Brook
    Clinton Woods
    James De Gale
    George Groves
    John Murray
    Chisora
    Fury
    Benn
    Eubank
    Frank Bruno
    Lennox Lewis
    Robin Reid
    Richie Woodhall
    Rendall Munroe
    Martin Murray
    Matthew Macklin
    Darren Barker
    Jamie Moore
    Danny Williams

Just to name a few which of them used to regularly run away in fights (or do now)?

I'll get you started Khan does do a bit of running so there is your #1 you only need 4 now.

Khan didn't "box", at all. He got on his bike and did everything he could to avoid being in punching range and he never even bothered to set up angles for countering. It was nothing but a cowardly display of running. Haye did the same thing against Valuev and while I'll credit him for not running against Wlad he was content to stand in range and slip jabs without every offering anything in the way of return fire.

Willie Pep is the perfect example of what a fighter with a suspect Chin should do to avoid being called a Glass Jawed Joke or a cowardly disgrace. Use footwork to avoid straight line swarmers and remain at the proper angle to counter slipped punches and use the jab to maintain range and disrupt an aggressive offense. Khan and Haye simply backpedal in abject fear of having their disgraceful Chins shattered violently. Both are British level bums and Glass Jawed Frauds that disgrace boxing.

What is the definition of running?

Would mayweather be the stereotypical example in his fight against baldomir?

jking right? The king of running is Dirrell. Not one comes close to his running ability in the ring.

No Mayweather actually in range and throw punches. Running to whole new level is when you are not in even punching range, jumping leap in and jumping leap out and when there is a chance the opponent can tag you, you foul asap.

Take a look at Dirrell's fight with Froch. Perfect example of how to do Usaln Bolt in boxing and fk all punches were thrown in the 'fight'.

why did Khan spend so much time running in the last few rounds? Are those the actions of a man eager to fight in a rematch?
