To start with well done Lamont you fought excellently and won it fair and square. What your hearing from Khan is just excuses.

Now...Khan in defeat insulted the City, the ref and gave Lamont no credit, just made a shitload of excuses. It was sour grapes. But he then demands a rematch.

Would Peterson have got a rematch?
    Did Maidana get a rematch?
Who is Khan to be making demands to the champ?
Why can't Peterson say no and demand another Bradley fight?
Why can't Peterson demand a Floyd fight like Khan was gunna do?
Why shouldn't Khan get back in ****ing line?

Amir Khan is nobody special nor the best in the division. There shouldn't be a rematch immediately. Lamont deserves to enjoy this and not be dictated to by a kid he's just beat. Khan can **** off

If I'm Lamont I fight him again in England, with a stipulation that I get 30% of the future grosses of his next 10 fights, 50% of English gate and tv rights.

pretty sure there was probably a rematch clause anyways...

It was a good fight, why wouldn't you want to see a rematch immediately? I swear, there are tons of guys on here who aren't even boxing fans it seems... just here to be racial fanboys.

Peterson definitely deserved the win in my eyes, the point deductions were BS but I'm glad they did it, because otherwise Khan would have gotten a BS win.

I was thinking the same thing... if Buffer would have said and still... I don't think Khan would give Lamont a rematch

If I'm Lamont I say **** off Khan iv beat you and you don't tell me what to do.
Now go and work on your inside game and don't underestimate anybody in future. I'm going after a Bradley or Floyd fight. You can do what you want:hi:

I say IF Lamont decides on a rematch they do it again @ 140lbs.
(Make sure it stay's/Keep it @Jr. Welter)

Seems like Amir was headed to welter anyway... I could see Team Khan asking for a rematch @ 147lbs.

Posted in another thread, but Peterson will earn a HUGE payday from Khan for the rematch. More than he's made in his entire career, and more than he could make against Bradley, Ortiz, or Berto.

Honestly if Im Peterson I go after Bradley.... its a good fight and a chance to avenge a loss. Khan can get the rematch sometime after that.

firstly It was a close fight which could have gone either way - deserving of a rematch

Khan beat maidana 7 rounds to 5 easily... So not really too deserving of a rematch - future rematch yes maybe

The fact it was in Lamont's hometown also makes it more desrving of a rematch

    Whats your problem?

The CHAMPION, the superstar, the guy with EVERYTHING to lose (mayweather fight), comes to lpete's hometown to fight....and now he should say no to a rematch??

    **** you idiots.

Anyways from a business perspective HBO has no interest in featuring lamont peterson other than as a B-side....he's been brought in two challenge both ortiz and khan...and did his job very well, even too well.

But you WILL NOT see him fighting maidana or bradley on HBO, he's only making money if he fights Khan.
Peterson knows this and will sign the first chance he gets.

    I agree, No Immediate Rematch...

    It's Peterson time...

Khan Should fight guerrero for a rematch, Peterson should try and avenge his loss against bradley.

Exactly. Khan really didn't want a rematch with Maidana. Used the excuse "what's the point? I'd beat him easier next time". Lamont should say the same thing.

why on earth would he do that? would be the biggest pay day of his career. And a chance to really show that it wasn't dodgy refing but his own ability. really make the belts his own
