Khan cannot fight on the inside and pressure fighters are his worst nightmare. Peterson practically done the same thing as Maidana having success all night (and he's not even an inside fighter). Imagine a prime Hatton coming forward, throwing those solid body shots!

    Hatton>>Khan

I think a prime Hatton would handle Khan with ease and probably stop him with the body shots

  3. Khan can't fight on the inside.. and I doubt he would have been able to keep Hatton at length for twelve rounds...I can see a late stoppage..

It doesn't prove it, proves one thing though, Khan loses to boxers taller than him.

Bradley would do a job on him as well.

Yep, last night showed a lot. Though khan would have his moments with hatton due to his speed, especially early on. Hatton lack of reach and open defence could cost him too, but if he makes it past round 4-5 hatton would bring the hurt onto khan on the inside.

Remember, lamont had about 2 inch reach advantage over khan and although he didn't fight tall, it was still easier for him land when he was coming in. I think hatton with his little arms might struggle at times getting in, but then again he was very good at cutting off the ring and being rough getting in.

Prime hatton probably takes it late or clear ud. Khan needs to learn to spoil on the inside, not just push off to get distance.

Hatton had very fast feet to close the distance, and knew how to make space for his short arms. I don't see that being a disadvantage here at all. Hatton had as much nuance in terms of boxing ability as Khan. Really don't see Amir having much to bring to the table against Ricky, and he'll struggle to get his respect as well.

Prime Hatton is no laughing matter. It is a shame people overlook and underestimate his fights against Malignaggi, Collazo, Castillo and Tszyu.

Khan isn't peak but prime Hatton was tenacious with relentless body shots and he would boss you about. The Khan vs Peterson doesn't win that fight because Hatton closes the gap much quicker than Peterson.

Khan is still a work in progress. On paper, no doubt his next step was 147 and even bigger fights but technically no one thought he was ready to face Floyd or Manny.

Ive not read all the Khan fight posts here but did anyone notice or ask why Khan, when on the ropes - gloves up, covered - would then drop his hands and take a big hook? It happened a few times.
If you are 'comfortable on the ropes' why not a) move and/or b) counter?
Khan just dropped his guard and took a fat one to the moey. :huh

On the right night with the right ref, Hatton would win but it wouldnt be easy.

There's always a huge over-reaction to a loss, highlighting the flaws & dismissing the talent.

Amir's last defeat sparked a big improvement & this may do the same.

After watching the fight last night I think Hatton and Bradley would beat Khan convincingly.

I think Hatton may well stop him, or at least chew him up.

I wouldn't totally rule Khan out, but very much I fear that he'd be in for a pretty tortuous night.

I think as things stand we have to say Hatton > Khan
