Dawson prompted by the ring announcer called out Mundine.....or wait a minute Trout is out there as well. Dawson ate hooks to the right jaw all niight with his head kept low and his hands even lower. While Dawson eyed the body of Kalakodo keeping his hands low Kalakodo pick him off with hooks repeatedly all fight long. Mark my words, Dawsons next fight will be against a Thai opponent.
Come on. You're a huge fan of the man. Forgotten that ride in the limo Choc gave you and the only signed photo? Choc v Trout and boxing immortality bro :good
Spoke to a couple of mates who were sitting roughly the same angle as me but a little closer and they both had Dawson winning. Johnathon Cook from the West Australian had Kalakoda by a point, I guess it was one of those fights that depend on your perception of scoring. My score for Kalakoda seems to be the widest of all from everyone I've asked, I'll be the first to admit I'm not infallible but have to admit, I'm a little puzzled about this one.
Put all parochial West Australian **** aside and Kalakoda won this fight easily....it was an embarrassment to boxing seeing Dawson leaping around as the victor....the result was cooked. I have been to countless fight nights, title fights and world title fights and have seen some decisions which I didn't agree with but could feel comfortable in calling a draw, such as the last time Dawson met Kalakoda. And even then I had Kalakoda. But this encounter was clearly won by Kalakoda.....clearly he won 5 of the last 6 rounds and Dawson didn't win 5 rounds for the entire fight.... On 2 occassions Dawson was on the ropes and somehow managed to stay on his feet....being dominated with combinations rattling his head, 10/8 right there. Can someone tell me how wrong I am......
Nothing new for Dawson...the most padded record in boxing...topping it off with hometown decisions against journeymen. If i were advising a future opponent for Dawson, no officials from WA & ideally 1 or 2 from overseas & if the judges are Australian, ones who had never or very rarely judged a Dawson fight.
Have seen all three of Sharp's fights and he has improved each time out, still early days but coming along nicely.
Have seen Sharp in his 3 pro fights and last night for the first time he looked measured. Unlike the first 2 fights he took his time in ascerting his dominance and put on some very well time and accurate combinations. Many boxers atm are not throwing enough combinations. If this is the direction Luke Sharp is heading in he has a bright future. :good
IMO, if Mr Vocaleeee refs or judges another of Dawson's fights, he may as well sleep with him....if he already ain't
Boys thanks so much for the support.I'm gutted as their was alot riding on the fight for the winner. And to add insult to injury it's the second time.I was planning to retire had I lost convinsingly but that will have to be put on hold for now I guess.Once again thanks boys!!
You put on a great display twice at the Iti Club, happy to have seen both. Many there believed you won. Those that didn't saw it as a close fight which could have gone either way. The best part of this opinion comes from a parochial West Australian crowd. Basically you have every right to feel gutted mate. You still have plenty to offer.....be a shame to not see you in a battle again. Thanks for the entertainment.....money well spent that night.:good
