The dude isn't allowed to get a victory lap? Let him take an easier fight in the interim, make a little cash, then set up a rematch for Vegas or AC just before Ramadan. Heck, I'm even fine with London, just I don't know whether the fight actually makes as much money there. I'd also be okay with having it at the Verizon Center, but with jointly selected judges and referees so there's no bias. If they could sell 9,000 tickets for the horrible convention center with only floor seating, then I suspect they could sell 15,000 in the Verizon Center.

And of course there's no rematch clause. Peterson was a mandatory.

HaHa'.....Well khan did't give prescott, maidaina, barrera rematches he said clearly "I want to advance my legend and build a resume and once i do that i can think about rematch's with people i already beat" ....So i think lamont should throw in a couple old-man boxer's on their way out like khan did....KHAN KNEW THE FANS WANT /PRESCOTT/MAIDAINA 2 and AND HE STAYS FAR AWAY FROM THAT TALK....I'm sure maidaina felt just as bad as khan does now so WHY DOES KHAN FEEL ONLY HE DESERVES REMATCHES.....Make'em wait !!

The only other good payday at 140lbs is Brandon Rios that just moved up but knowing Arum he will screw Peterson and his team some way or another and have those belts around Rios in no time.

shut the **** up. you're on khan's nuts if you think he clearly won. even without deductions I had it 7-5 in rounds for peterson......i could see 6-6 or even 7-5 for Khan but that's the very most!!! and when a fights that close it can go either way and usually goes to the guy landing the cleaner shots and pushing the action (Peterson) not the guy running away and shoe shining with pitty pat shots. Even the Brits at Sky had Peterson winning so what does that tell you?

as a boxing fan I'd love to see the rematch but at the same time as a boxing fan i've seen khan duck rematches with Maidiana and Prescott because he said he wanted to keep moving forward. i'd like to see team peterson make Amir squirm a little and fight a couple fights before the rematch forcing Khan to rematch either Prescott or Maidana(the most lucrative winnable fights out there besides Lamont).

If I am Peterson I try and unify 140. Screw Khan he can fight Prescott in a rematch first.
