Peterson, a guy Bradley easily beat, steps up and fights Khan using Khan's inablitity to fight on the inside with a tactic Bradley could've done better. The only difference is Peterson is a lot bigger than Bradley and could use his size well against Khan. But Bradley is a pretty good inside fighter and very good at going in with his head. So Peterson takes the fight and does what Bradly should've done while Bradley holds out for more money in a Pacquiao/Mayweather hopefest that would probably take a year or so to happen and fights Casamayor which adds nothing to his cause. He could've been the man to beat Khan and be the undisputed "man" at 140, numero uno without doubt. Did Bradley make a bad choice here?
He done that before the Peterson fight, go back and check threads before he ducked Khan he was becoming a fan favourite with most despite the Alexander performance. He walked away from out a 50/50 fight which paid well, even if he had lost the fight his stock would have increased no doubt. Not to mention the fact the Pacquiao fight isn't looking too promising at the moment.
I don't think Bradley has the tools to beat Khan. Bradley is a much lesser puncher/pressure boxer compared to Peterson. This should suit Khan much better.
Bradley really screwed himself. Not only does he not get Pacquiao - Mayweather - or Khan - but everyeone esls of interest is set up to fight someone else. Mayweather/Pac Khan/Peterson Maidana/Alexander Berto/Ortiz There's no one for him left to fight at this time. Better call on Shane Mosley - but I think Mosley is moving up in weight to 154 again. Who's there left for him to fight that will be interesting to the Public?
Boxing is the ultimately game of rock, paper, scissors. So we can't say just because Peterson 'beat' Khan, Bradley would. But i would make him the favourite. He's a much completer fighter then Khan and Peterson. He wouldn't need to just walk forward. He could fight Khan many ways. Time will tell if he made a mistake in not taking the fight. Getting rid of Shaw must be a big plus though.
Bradley would have got a lot of credit for "exposing" Khan. Now the fight's lost its significance even if Khan wins a rematch.
It's not if or not he should have won... It's that he gambled to get a even bigger money fight and he's left with empty hands on the end. And that while the Khan fight was the one he had the most chance of winning.
Brandon Rios at 140 would be perfect....or he could fight the ghost at 140, he can even fight Kell Brook, there are options...
Styles make fights. I still think Khan gives Bradley fits. No way Bradley could bully Khan around like Peterson and Maidana did.
:good:good:good Even if Bradley lost, I'm sure he wouldn't look bad because of Khan's perception as a fighter. Plus it's more obvious that he has more of a chance than I originally thought. Now if he possibley loses against Khan, his stock would fall.
