Imo,under severe presure he reverted back to his amateur style, instinct ingrained from a boy supassed roaches instructions, a big change is needed for the rematch as im sure petersons team will crank up the pressure next time. If khan don't get no knockdowns and gets a lot more pressure from the very start, will this not lead to even more infringements? pushing pulling down etc, and at welter most will be stronger/bigger so that needs the backburner for a while at least. Imo he needs to leave Peterson alone he can only do worse in the rematch than the first fight. thats my assesment, taking into account Khans style, power, strength and petersons knowledge gained from weekends encounter the looser has to change to much to soon to win return.:think:bbb
Punch stats and knockdowns almost always tell the full story: How many did you miss? How many did you connect with? http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1273237
Still showed some worrying deficiencies, and looked a sloppy as any 'Elite' level fighter you'll see, and had a far too close fight with a guy who has already been shown to not be one of the very best in the division. These things happen, but it also shows Amir is still a horribly flawed fighter.
Because he was so preoccupied with flaunting his improved punch resistance. And the ref was clearly racist.
I noticed when Khan through his flurries, most of them hit Petersons gloves, but the comentators were orgasmic at Khans speed, not that he was catching Peterson with them half the time.
Because he's not that good and fought a dumb fight. Taking this as a given and talking about Floyd Mayweather non stop for the last 3 months wasnt a good move either.
He lost, because he lost. He is not elite, he'll win some fights, lose some. The point deductions obviously didn't help.
