I think Sky are secretly quite pleased with result. This set's up a big rematch nicely, it won't harm the viewer ratings. Even in America Khan's viewer rating are going up after each fight, something always seems to happen in his fights they're hardly ever dull.
This is Ricky "I was winning that 2nd round by a country mile" Hatton you're talking about? I thought it was a pretty clear win for Khan (although I have just watched it for the first time tonight while knowing the result) but he still being a little ***** with his comments, I thought the comments about DC were particularly poor taste. That crowd were probably ready to give him his dues for a good fight before he pulled that **** with them.
**** me !! ...typical british attitude u bunch of tossers ... Khan is a british superstar in the making ...he will come back better and stronger for this defeat .. yeah i had him down by one in the fight but he's a winner so losing doesnt come easy to the guy. We all know he didnt follow the gameplan and that lost him the fight.. He will win a rematch and make the move up a weight ... Cmon Amir !
Pretty hard to debate when it's in the first line of the rules and ti was so flagrant. I think the editor counted a few tussles as pushes, but I'm glad a referee did punish him for it.
I honestly don't understand how anyone can defend at least 1 point not being deducted. It's so blatant, it's not even done in a subtle or hidden way.
Khan lost, losing is a part of life. It is not like he was defending an unbeaten record, nor was it a humiliating loss. Hopefully Khan will give up the playboy lifestyle and concentrate on his boxing. Too many film premiers weaken the gut.
Indeed, it was a munch needed good night for boxing. It was a close exciting fight where both fighters deserve great credit for such.
Spot on. A lot of the detractors who are seemingly all to eager to call Khan a '****', or a 'whiny *****', seem to have forgotten how Froch reacted in the aftermath of his defeat to Kessler. Fighters nearly always make excuses for defeats; of our own recent world champs/challengers I can only recall Ryan Rhodes conceding that he was basically beaten by a better man.
If Khan takes this defeat like the Prescott defeat then we should see some big improvements in his next few fights, Peterson, Bradley then Mayweather for 2012?
