The Judah fight is part of what I'm talking about because that fight shows how good Khan can be, when he's faced with an easy opponent. However, Maidana, McCloskey and Peterson all managed to make Khan look like an amateur and that's because as soon as he is taken out of his comfort zone, he doesn't know how to stick to the gameplan or use the things Roach has taught him.

Pac doesn't have good infighting technique or ability in the pocket, Marquez exposes this all the time. But what he lacks in a inside game, he makes up with his mid range attacks. Khan tries to fight like Pac, but Pac has a lot more power, and gets in and out better, also pac has better defense, and of course can take a better shot (and is far more fluid/comfortable)... also pac has a more calm style, Khan doesn't look calm in there, his movements look erratic at times.

Roach top fighters don't have a good infighting game, and don't mention James Toney, Toney already had his game far before he ever got with Roach.

Khan's ring intelligence is only one part to his problems. Khan needs to get with someone who will teach him how to fight better on the inside because the blueprint is out and everyone he fights from here on out will try to test him on the inside. It will only get worse before it gets better if he doesn't. Another problem is his defense he has no head-movement to speak of and is a sucker for the uppercut. The guy is simply to easy to hit especially on the inside. Lastly he needs someone to teach him proper footwork while backing up. He needs to learn how to pivot when someone is inside and spin off the ropes when he gets there. All that running that he does is amateurish and doesn't look good to the judges.

I think the biggest thing to work on with Khan is to ban him from any post fight interviews, especially the fights he loses.
He always looks like a arrogant twat.

OR they should let him talk a lot more and matchup him up with Rios/Margarito and Cotto, lots of people will pay to see him get killed.

When you have no ring intelligence, no workeble defense, no head movement, no inside game and fold under pressure you should not be THAT arrogant.

During the fight, I don't ever recall Khan trying to walk Peterson down. To me that's a sign of mental weakness, and will only encourage others to pressure and eventually make him crack.

Actually it is also Roaches fault as a coach for not correcting Khan's habit of pushing down on the head and literally pushing fighters away to him space. He must obviously do that in sparring as well. Hi offence has always been his strength and weaknesses have shown no improvement. He's been with Roach for some time now.

Walking down is not a sign of mental weakness or mental strength. Its a style.

Peterson is physically more imposing, though, due to his height/size/reach.

So it may be that Khan matches up better with Bradley. On the other hand, Bradley is a very smart fighter and will know exactly what to do with Khan.

    2 things

Khan is a good boxer but not a fighter, he looked so uncomfortable in there when Petersen got in close and had no idea on how to infight had to resort to what got him docked points

he simply doesnt seem able to fight out of his comfort zone

2nd- Petersen was right when he called him an energy fighter, he only fights in spurts, very hard in the 1st 4 then became more passive and slowed down a lot

He would come out and start every round moving well and scoring well then languish on the ropes

either he has too busy of a style to maintain it for 12 rounds or has mental lapses

Also Khan relies too much on what Freddie tells him to do and doesnt think for himself, he needs to learn that sometimes even the great Freddie Roach can be wrong.

Khan said that Freddie Roach advised him to push opponents
