Former Pacquiao conditioning coach ****** Fortune RIPS Alex Ariza December 12th, 2011 Brad Cooney Former Manny Pacquiao strength and conditioning coach ****** Fortune had a lot to say about a lot of things. 8CN sat down with him this morning and got his thoughts on a wide array of topics. Fortune absolutely rips Alex Ariza for blaming Manny Pacquiao for his last performance Vs. Juan Manuel Marquez. In fact, Fortune blames Ariza for Pacquiao's latest few performances where by most accounts were not typical Pacquiao like performances. The former heavyweight Aussie pulled no punches as he hammered away at Ariza calling him a "second rate strength and conditioning guy" and "stupid" for the things that he said about Top Rank head Bob Arum. 8CN playfully asked Fortune if he would be sending Ariza a Christmas card, and he replied, "I'll send him a foot up his ass.'' Obviously there is no love lost between Fortune and Ariza, and when you listen this Podcast you will clearly hear that. Fortune also shared his side of the story concerning his split with Freddie Roach. 8CN asked Fortune about the allegations that were made claiming that he had stoled money from Roach and started his own gym with it. Fortune explains his side of the story and tells 8CN that Roach made ridiculous monetary demands that he did not have a right to demand. He cracks Freddie Roach for going to the media with things that he says were not true. Fortune speaks about the lawsuit that Roach filed against him, and tells 8CN that the lawsuit was retracted because the allegations were baseless. Fortune talks about Amir Khan's loss to Lamont Peterson and much more. Editors Note - 8CN has the door wide open for Alex Ariza to give us a call and respond if he so chooses.
****** fortune steroid peddler..hrmm. sour grapes with roach perhaps? to be honest ariza is a great snc coach. the real issue is roach training his fighters. they dont know how to clinch and they can't fight on inside. if there's one to blame its freddie not alex.
There is indeed something in the way Pac fought when Ariza took over. Pac is no longer as relentless as he was before. And his stamina is not as good IMO (with consideration to his workrate) Fortune was a damn good srength and conditioning coach.
I do not know exactly when did Pac forget to fight inside. When he fought Barrera in 2003, he was relentless on the inside, throwing body shots and uppercuts. He was also like that against Julio. At some point in his career, he does absolutely nothing when on the inside.
Would this be the same Fortune who cashed freddies cheque for the pac solis fight in Texas, because Roach was away with De La hoya? Hes a credible witness then
****** Fortune was good he didn't have to use all these jargons and bull**** to try make himself out to be a genius but Ariza is still better even though he's a ****.
