Sergio caught Paul several times with that same exact shot in the first fight, and even in the second. The final time, he just got 100% leverage, and it was a wrap.

Yup. Pretty sure before he landed the KO punch, he landed the exact same punch about 3 seconds prior.

I think it was a bit of a 'hail Mary' shot but still an awesome KO. Caught Williams just right, and put a guy who'd previously shown a very sturdy chin to sleep, face down on the canvas with his eyes wide open.

Spot on. Martinez 100% knew he was going KO Williams and he knew he was going to KO him with that exact punch. From the get go, he's throwing that left with EVIL intentions and he catches Williams a good 3/4 times with it before the KO.

Had he not been drafted in on such short notice for the 1st fight, he most likely would have KO'd him then. Williams was a KO wating to happen, it just took someone of the level of talent of Martinez to do it. It's not overrated in the slightest. The timing/technique/power was impeccable, one of the finest KO's I've ever seen.

In some ways overrated, the damage was done in the first fight, his performance in that fight was better. In the first fight and the majority of Williams fights he just takes too many shots and now the damage is showing. Even in the fight with Cintron Williams didnt seem to take shots well. Since the first fight with Martinez Williams punch resistance hasn't looked good. Sad to see in a fighter who gave so much in the ring.

And no it wasn't a sucker punch, Martinez just timed him and beat him to the punch cus Williams was so sloppy loading up on telegraphed left hands and not guarding his chin.

Agreed. Williams came in with a hook of his own. Martinez's was shorter, more compact and right on the button.

That's the knockout that rose him to super stardum, he hasn't produced the same type of magic since! He needs to fight someone credible, so we can gauge how got he really is..
