boxrec has him fighting TBA on 05/05. Given the date I am guessing he will try to find a mexican opponent. he seems to be trying to follow Oscar's business plan. towards the end of his career Oscar always fought the weekend of Sept 16th (mexican independance day) and May 5th (cinco the mayo). Being mexican Oscar cashed in on those 2 holiday weekends. Floyd has fought his last 3 fights on those dates

Floyd is not mexican so he needs to fight other mexicans to make it work (yes I know Mosley isn't mexican). I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to get margarito or angulo or something like that.

 

Floyd really can't commit and it would also be foolish to commit to a Floyd fight until after another hearing for his 4 felony charges sometime this month.

 

Neither Hatton or Mosley are Mexican. That means that no Mexican has been featured in a big fight on Cinco de Mayo weekend in the last three years. Mayweather's number one target for this day is Pacquiao. I'm not sure why everyone presumes he's going to fight a Mexican just because he wants to fight the first weekend of May.

that fight was going to be for a Khan fight most likely. If Khan looked impressive against Peterson, the fight would have probably happened before either a Cotto or Pacquiao showdown in July.
