Yeah, it sounds like you're really butt hurt. I hope that sore ass of yours heals up soon. Until then, :hi: lol...
it's pretty sad this is what you prefer to make a discussion into. I ask you about specific rankings SINCE that's what you are basing your point on, and you just reply like a ****in *******? WHy not just answer me on the rankings? Continue an ACTUAL discussion rather then turn this into the usual bull**** here? You enjoy acting like a little kid don't you. That's cool if you are one, pretty sad if you're actually an adult.
Frankly I dont see Lamont holding the belt for a long time. I just dont think he can get up for every fight the way he did for the Khan fight. That was his crowning glory and he needs fights like that to be at his absolute best. I think he should be about the money now. He should maybe knock off a couple of good but beatable 140 pounders and then call out Money for the big payday. I think that Mayweather would love to fight Lamont. It would be a good chess match for him and a pure boxing match for those of us who love the artistry of the sweet science.Mayweather wins but it will be fun to watch.
I have to admit, even though I think you're clueless where boxing is concerned, I do enjoy your posts. There is just a certain drama-queen-esq quality about them which I have come to appreciate. Are you always on 10? Have a drink and relax, it's all in good fun...
:huh You think I am the one who needs to calm down? I asked you a couple TOPIC related questions, you are the one who resorted to acting like a child in response. And you come back with this ****? Did it ever occur to you to JUST CONTINUE THE DISCUSSION? :think Or is it more you don't want to get into the whole ranking thing I asked? Since if ANYONE had Khan over Bradley, it pretty much kills your so called point.
It was a calculated risk and they turned up wrong on a few counts. They figured Lamont would fight his normal fight, and he didn't, he fought more aggressive. They thought Joe Cooper would let Kahn do his normal pushing and holding and Joe Cooper deducted 2 points that cost Kahn the fight because Kahn was too stubborn to heed his warnings. There are no conspiracy theories here, every promoter pushes as hard as they can to give their fighter as many advantages going into the fight. In this instance, Golden Boy and Kahn's team underestimated the situation and had their guard down and found themselves in a fair fight and didn't know what to do about it. All of these fan-unfriendly techniques that have become a norm in boxing are so accepted at this point that fighters are now going to them as the defacto shortcuts instead of properly learning their craft. Don't know how to fight on the inside? No worries just hold and lean and push and don't worry the referee won't do anything because when was the last time someone got penalized for pushing? The answer thanks to Joe Cooper is.. Amir Kahn.. December 3rd 2011. They won't let that happen in the rematch.
Every fight is a caclulated risk. I won't try to get into the mind of what GBP thought about the ref, because that's nothing but specuilation, and shouldn't even be treated as any form of fact. GBP also promoted Peterson vs. Ortiz. I highly doubt they exptected Peterson to just be an easy night for Khan, seeing what he is capable of doing. We can all claim someone underestimated someone, but at the end of the day, that's just US saying it.
Saying 'every fight is a calculated risk' doesn't invalidate the assertion that based on the fact that they were comfortable going to Lamont's home town; their assessment is that Lamont doesn't pose enough threat to make the fight location an issue, that was their calculation, it proved wrong. If Lamont fought Kahn like he did Ortiz that might be a valid argument but he didn't and that was my original point. They felt Lamont would be happy staying at the end of Kahn's punches and instead Lamont decided to go for a more pressure oriented game plan. Of course it is 'US' saying it who else would it be? I don't think anyone needs to explain that forums are there for discussion if everyone knew everything about what was going on in these companies and teams there would be no reason to be here.
If the entire world starts acting like Amir Khan, we're in trouble. There's something to be said for being the bigger man.
OK...even if this is true. So what? Are you really making a big deal outta GBP going to Peterson's home town? Look, I can't think of any top contenders who don't go into a fight with the notion they can win, regardless of the venue. So if GBP or Khan thought they were going to win....so what? Too much speculation here to address. I won't say your opinion is wrong, but that's all it is, an opinion. OK...
Well, it's hard to find a fighter who lost a close fight who outright says they lost. Besides, the controversy around does suggests Khan MAY have a legit beef.
If you're Peterson you'd be like Joe Frazier after boxing lol Of course I'd fight Khan and make a million. Are you ****ing crazy? He ****in sleep on the street and now he has this opportunity to make a seven figure payday and make a statement of beating Khan again why would he not take it? Idiots. atsch
The main reason these idiots do NOT want Kahn to face Peterson next in a rematch is simplty becasue Khan didn't face Prescott again, or guive Maidana a rematch. It's all just stupid kids posting for the most part. If Peterson faces Bradley next, that's cool. If it's Khan, that's good too. But Khan WAS the defending champ here. And now idiots (mainly floyd fanatics) don't think the defending champ who lost his betls in a controversial fight, doesn't warrant a rematch. :huh And it would be Khan's biggest purse most likley.
