Lol ward is 10x times more mature than mayweather will ever be, yet you ask it like he should be more like him, prefer boxers who behave like a man rather than manchilds.

I already know that after the fight the usual suspects will be still whining, "But he led with his head and head butted Froch". In spite of the fact that once again, he will have received no warnings and no penalty for using his head.

He has Mayweahter's attitude, or at least he should. He should realize he's going to get criticized no matter what. He needs to be himself, and go out there and try to win fights the best way he knows. That's what he's done. Some people aren't going to like him for whatever reason, but that won't change no matter what.

 

the only people who dont like Ward are mostly Europeans who are mad he's dominating their overrated fighters. Ward otherwise is one of the most popular fighters on the board.

 

Ward cares very much about presenting himself as a gentleman, a professional, and a fighter. Part of being an athlete is dealing with people who will look to bring you down; particularly when you profess your faith.

 

I mean in public, he comes across incredibly well.

Unassuming, religious,young family man,who has overcome a tough upbringing.

The Ward hate stems from the Kessler bout, there were some nasty headbutts which I believe were unintentional, but Kessler fans need an excuse why the favorite was so thoroughly dominated by someone who was deemed as inexperienced...

Also his nick name does him no favors considering there are so many different religions and if you're not Christian or don't believe in god then 9/10 you won't like Ward, but no matter who you are fans will dislike you but i doubt Ward is really losing any sleep because people hate him because he's religious...

At the end of the day even if he shuts Froch out for nine rounds and then ko's him with no fouls in a clean fight the same people will still dislike him, that's just how the story goes...he cares about his reputation but he isn't a dirty fighter, I never here any other example of him being dirty but the Kessler fight, that says a lot about how "dirty" he is...
