DFT-They weren't dominating rounds but you'd be hard pushed to give BHOP a share of them.

Thing is, thats what everyone expected to happen in the first place, with BHOP coming more into it later, so I'd expect the odds to be near enough the same.

 

Dawson would've got more and more frustrated imo. Got easier to hit with the right hand as he came forward and would've lost a decision.

Hopkins is an arrogant fighter who believes he can win every fight. He had no need to fight Dawson and could have made a lot more money elsewhere.

Also, to decide that after 2 rounds of nothing that Dawson has his number is bizarre.

Finally, how has he been avoiding him for a while? Their careers have been in different spheres.

 

Next time a boxer feels like he's in over his head, exaggerate an injury for a minor foul and he'll keep the belt and not lose the fight.

The fact Hopkins won't rematch him is very telling.

 

How have they been in different spheres? Dawson was considered top 15 p4p and knocking on Hopkins' door when he was fighting Ornelas and RJJ 2. Insignificant fighters.

 

Hopkins didn't fight Dawson, he got injured in the second round after losing the first (in my opinion looking quite frustrated about it all too) and went home with his belts and pay. Not bad for a few minutes work.

 

One thing that is interesting about the Hopkins/Dawson thing, is that I'd say on the whole, as a proportion etc, Hopkins gets a lot more support from British folk than he is getting from his fellow Americans, many of who have hung him out to dry for what went on in that fight.

I can't agree with you however about the Hopkins fight, I though Hopkins was looking increasingly frustrated himself.

With absolutely no justification. None. As proved by how meekly he surrendered his undefeated record to Pascal. He's guff. Then Hopkins caned Pascal twice. Different spheres.

Anyone who thinks Hopkins cheated his way out is just a mong. Should he have fought on with a legitimate injury just to satisfy your idiocy?

 

The injury is easily faked.

The diagnosis is made by a doctor manipulating the arm and asking the patient if it hurts. So if Hopkins says ouch when his arm moves he is half way there. As there was obviously no dislocation, it can only be a subluxation or a fracture. X rays rule out the fracture. X rays whilst holding weights and taken of both sides to compare are done to determine a subluxation. Even then it is not definitive. The only 100% way to do it is to have MRI scans before the injury and after ( which is obviously rare ) and make a comparison of the joint.

I could fake this injury and could coach any of you to as well.

Regardless of the legitimacy of the injury, even if it was legitimate, it would not make anyone let alone a hardened ex con , multi weight world boxing champion react the way he did. Its sore, but not debilitating. Its like saying he could not continue because a head clash made one of his fillings fall out. Yes a dentist can confirm a filling is out, but we all know he can still fight. Same with an ACJ subluxation, except in this case most people dont know exactly what it is.
