"Ref will never ref a big fight again." Was the ref way too biased in favor of Khan?

Whether the ref was good or not, we can't have promoters and fighters deciding careers or not. It's a downright disgrace.

Sure, hall the guy before an official board, but for money men promoters to be able to end careers is just not right, that's always going to lead to further corruption in the game down the line.

The sign of good referring is when they don't get noticed, and Joe Cooper was noticed alright.

Besides the obvious docking of points for pushing...He was talking to Khan the entire fight. "Khan stop holding" "Dont push his head down Khan" "Let him go Khan" "stop pushing Khan" etc etc. Khan looked more preoccupied with Cooper than Peterson at times.

Plus Cooper was too fat/slow to get out of the way of a potential KD and narrowly missed tumbling into the action many other times throughout the fight.

Wow, biased in as far as keep your friends close but enemies closer..... Khan got royally screwed, Lamont did his fair share of leading with his head and should have been docked points, that's if the ref was being strictly neutral and applying the letter of the law which he only did as a far as Khan was concerned.

Ref did a poor job at reffing the fight, but the points deductions are irrefutable.

The rule against pushing exists for a reason.

If one fighter has a much longer reach, if he consistenly pushed the shorter-armed fighter away, there could theoretcially never be a single engangement.

I think most people can thus see that a DQ should be the outcome of that scenario.

THe K vs P fight was half-way to the above scenario, and if the ref were someone else--maybe it would have been all the way to it!

Khan has no one to blame but himself and others have counted up to 66 pushes. He's lucky he didn't get DQed for his BS tactics--of pushing away AND pushing down AND headlocks.

If a review is done, and IF it is fair, ref should be more than vindicated.

In the court system, some states penalize someone for filing a frivolous lawsuit. Too bad there prob is no equivalent here.

If there was, they should dock Khan for wasting their time. And instead tell the crybaby to watch the tape and count his own pushes away and pushes down and headlocks etc.
