Since watching his very vary narrow defeat in my eyes against Duddy i kind of like the way this fellow fights and have been trying to watch his progress as much as i can on uk media. Anyway the point of the thread is to see if anyone else thinks the same as i do. Matt Vanda seems to be a tough sob and pretty good. Could he become some sort of rocky champion one day?
I am a sucker for the good guys and he seems like one. He shows big heart but not too much in the way of skill.
Hey if Vanda beats Manfredo he is really on the up. I thought he might have a good go, if he wins it where does he go from there. From what has been said sounds like manfredo is a sure fire win already. Id like a bet on this one, i really vanda is gonna ko him. They did the same sort of thing with Phil Williams.
I thought Duddy beat him comfortably - he's not much better than Vanda but he controlled the fight with his superior jab.Vanda had little sucess until the last couple of rounds. I heard Vanda was robbed against Chavez jnr but 2 close losse against mediocre hyped boxers means to me that he is no more than a tough journeyman, something along the lines of Brian Vera. I think he will give Manfredo some problems but i doubt he can win
Journeyman saw him at the Garden vs Duddy big ass arm and looks like a killer but just a decnt opponent really missing that fury that keeps him from going up a level or two however Manfredo sucks look for Vanda to win but not get the decision.
Good guy! always ready to fight! will never put a belt on his waist but will give any pretenders something to worry! props to him and others gate keepers!
I know seriously he isnt top level but he is a good fighter in if not just for the fact most of his fights are entertaining. But he does seem to be pretty fearless and will go after any fighter. I like that about him there doesnt seem to be any bs in making his fights. I hope he can get this one and then he can get a top class opponent to have a good fight with..
Try not to take it too personally, but are you blind ? Duddy boxed his head of for 9 rounds with his jab(clearly winning all those rounds) and in the 10th when Duddy decided to get involved Vanda hammered him from pillar to post. But the fight was almost a whitewash. Unless you mean Vanda nearly stopped him which imo is still a bit far from the truth.
Yeah he give Chavez Jnr a far tougher night when they first met. Duddy let his defence and jab go for the last round, Vanda is a journey man with a padded record. Comes to fight though i think Manfredo will out box him easily.
