Round 9

Roman runs up to Fortuna and throws combos as the taller man tries to cover up or tie up, with no time or room to run. Lots of clinches and breaks. Roman is trying to force the fight, lunging and missing on his way in. Fortuna is spoiling - slapping, grabbing, pulling Roman in close, and pushing off to spring away toward the ropes as Roman starts to smack him with overhands. Roman walks him down for a moment and peppers the body with some heavy blows before Fortuna bounces off and jets by him. Fortuna works some lead lefts from outside but has his back up against the ropes. Roman is walking forward, guard up. Roman sticks his arms out to the side, soaking up the love as a contingent in the audience chants "Mexico!". More pressure by Roman, but not quite catching up to Fortuna.

Fortuna needs to plant his feet and stop running.

 

Round 10

Roman comes straight forward into a big combo!! Hurt? Fortuna is blasting away, quick shots. Right hooks, left hands. Roman weathers the storm for about fifteen seconds, and he comes straight forward as Fortuna backs off. Roman nearly gets him in a corner and throws a limp right hand, getting caught and tied up. Fortuna dances around him and has his head jerked by a jab while his hands are down at his sides. Fortuna holds. Break. Roman marches up to him, and Fortuna jumps in to greet him by pushing into Roman's guard with both arms...trying to buy some time and burn clock. Fortuna throws a soft 1-2 to the guard. RIGHT hand over the top by Roman! Fortuna holds. Break. Fortuna runs, circling to his left. Roman gets up to him and gets held while trying to throw a punch. Fortuna is chased to the ropes and nailed with a right hand over the top again before tying up. More running, slapping, grabbing, arm-twisting by Fortuna.

Fortuna hurt Roman bad in the beginning of the round. Roman has a hell of a chin.
