I dunno, personally I think its because with his natural talents they feel he's not living up to his full potential. Khan could be the best British boxer since Lennox Lewis, but with the way he's handled this loss recently he comes across as too arrogant and brash. People tend to put Khan on a much higher pedestal than other fighters. That and he's a dirty brown terrorist.
He hasn't been very magnanimous about his defeat. The amount of times I've heard him spout that "your 2 points down before you even start" bull**** is unreal, it's so repetetive. I'm on my 3rd cycle with Khan now, I didn't like him at first as he was given a huge contract and was talking himself up so massively before anything was really acheived. Then after the loss to Prescott, I really admired his reaction. Put it behind him, searched out a better team and doubled his work. But this loss really turned me against him. I really detested his comments afterwards and his lack of class really frustrated me. You got walked down by a mediocre puncher because you don't have the tools to deal with that sort of fighter Amir, deal with it!!!
He is a good boxer but he rates himself WAY too high and actually has limited skills. Plus the way he has bitched and moaned and then attacked the British media after this loss instead of looking in the mirror has solidified his status as an absolute idiot! Good luck to him I wont root against him or for him until his poor attitude changes. He doesnt have the right to be arrogant......yet
Lennox Lewis made excuses and moaned and bitched after losing to Oliver McCall. blamed the referee and early stoppage etc, people have such short memories.
Anyone that judges a fighter on his race or religion doesn't deserve to watch or enjoy boxing. National rivalries are different from just flat out bigotry and hate mongering.
It was tongue in cheek yes, but I'm sure some people hate him because of his religious beliefs and skin colour. They just won't admit it publicly.
so he was a crybaby too that makes amirs crying ok ? hes all over tv telling everybody who doesnt even watch boxing about the "controversy" its the opposite to what u say actually cause no ones called him on it a reporter needs to say to his face YOU LOST FAIR AND SQUARE STOP CRYING
People also forget that Lewis struggled with unspectacular fighters like Bruno and Mercer (another fight which could have gone either way). Hindsight is 20/20.
no i'm just saying people that wanna compare him to Lennox Lewis obviously suffer from selective amnesia. I do honestly think Amir Khan was robbed and has a right to moan. He's not the only one, so many decisions are amiss and so many good fighters I hear about that get praised on here ***** and winge about decisions. And i'm sure you've had things not go your way in life and have made excuses and blamed somebody else. it's just what people do.
Wasnt talking about the judges or peterson, was talking about british fans that won't back khan. read my posts properly.
