Would be very similar to the Hopkins fight. Main differences being that Ward is obviously a little fresher but Bernard is obviously more proven. Very close, controversial and I can see how Calzaghe would have won it. Froch was only 2 rounds away from beating Ward...
Ward. Although Calzaghe would land a lot more on him that Froch would due to his volume of punching. Be a lot closer.
Ward wouldn't like Joe's speed/workrate and willingness to throw. Joe fought as the star man had no fear of being countered. Ward would do well but i think he wouldn't like Joe's offense.
:blood Are you factoring in spastic judges into this fantasy match-up or something? Clearly he was way, way off beating Ward. You could make a clear argument that he didn't win a round, and he certainly didn't win more than 2.
calzaghe would never have went near ward or entered a tournament like the super 6. he would be doing what bute is doing. he was happy to fight the mcintyres/jiminezs/veits/mkerchians/salems (and almost getting KOd) etc. He beat a Lacy who achieved nothing in the sport and who's best win up to that point was a win over shot Robin Reid. Then he fought 40+ year old versions of Roy and Bernard and lost to Bernard on my scorecard, not to mention getting dropped by both 40+ year olds.
it would be a **** fight, Calzaghe preferred his opponents to lead and bring the fight to him, Ward wouldn't do that.
