Froch won the 11th on effort as Ward looked gassed.....thats it.

Not sure how you could give the 12th to Frosh after he was staggered by a huge left near the end of the round which had been even up to that point.

120-108 is more reasonable than 116-112.

    No way jose :nonono

Giving Froch 4 rounds is on par with giving him 1 round.

2 or 3 rounds to Froch in this fight is what it should be.

This is why fans are not judges.

    Correct.

Now, you will get arguments as Reg...er, ConradDobler said above, about the Lara-Williams decision. Hey, judges were wrong then, so what makes you sure they were right tonight, etc?

First, two judges tonight had the exact same score. No two judges had the same score in the Lara-Williams fight. That helps to buttress tonight's 115-113 scorecard, it seems clear to me.

Second, if the judges from tonight are suspended -- as the Lara-Williams judges were -- then I will feel less comfortable relying on the two judges' scoring of the fight 115-113.

Bad scores do happen in judging. Whitaker-Chavez, etc. But they are the exception, one would think, not the norm. If this happened all the time, more judges would be suspended and face scrutiny.

As I said at the start of the thread, I feel comfortable in my scorecard given that two judges were just 1 point off of my own card. Further, I have no problem with the outcome, as Froch did not complain and I can see how the fight was scored for Ward.

    :thumbsup

any random person on ESB could have scored the Lara/Williams fight better than the actual judges

Did anyone give Froch round 3? I gave him 3 and 9 (which I thought was clear).

I scored the 12th for Ward because I thought he controlled a desperate Froch in that round, but no biggie if you found that one for Froch and maybe one more (giving him all benefit). I can't see the 7-5 scores, though.

And this may be why the judges were suspended.

Authorities thought that there was a problem there, and they took action against the judges.

If that happens in this instance, to the two 115-113 judges, then maybe I will begin to back off my citing them as support for my own card.

I won't hold my breath, though. :rofl

If Ward was robbed tonight of the win, I'm sure something would happen, but since he won still by unanimous decision, there's no point

Hardly, this is just jaw-droppingly bad logic. First off, you assume their score is the exact same. Yes, the result of the score is the same (115-113). But we haven't seen a round by round judges scorecard. If it were then different, does that nullify your view. Does coincidence scoring validate incompetence, then? EVEN IF the judges somehow agreed. Let's not act like judges are superior or better then fans at scoring anyway. Neutral fans rarely have the bias, influence, or corruption many judges do have. And real boxing fans know how fights are scored. Becoming a judge is easy. Scary easy.

They should be, but since the right winner was awarded I doubt any auction will be taking place. Unfortunately, messes only get cleaned up when a perceived injustice or problems exists. Ward won, so what's the problem? Nothing to clean up for those in judge.

Not only is this patently false, but it's incredibly naive.

Your scorecard is ****, regardless of your comfort. If someone were to analyze the fight in slow-mo it would enlighten you on what you may have missed. It might even embarrass you, but I'm not sure if you're just not trolling again, Paul.

As for your last point. This should be obvious. When does Froch seemingly not complain when he thinks a fight is close or that he won immediately afterwards? He looked like a beaten man because he was. Just look at his mom and girlfriend. They were silent because they saw he was, too.

That's what's so amazing to me: Ward won, so why are people freaking out about my scorecard or even the 115-113 scores?

    :huh

My card was one point off of the two judges who gave the fight to Ward by two points. I fail to see the "outrage" in that.
